While not a Tacoma owner yet, I’ve been reading as many threads as possible to learn all I can.

I’m hoping to buy a Tacoma soon and I may have a chance of getting a 2019 TRD PRO without the snorkel.

My question is do I go for the 2020 Off-road or the 2019 Pro. Price wise they are similar.

It will be my daily driver and weekend overlanding truck. I do like going off the beaten path but wouldn’t say I’m a hardcore off-roader. My Hyundai Santa Fe continues to serve me well but at over 225k miles I want to be ready to replace it.

If they were the same price and the 2020 has led lights and the power seat I'd go off-road over Pro.

Edit.... just my opinion. It's your money so check them both out and get the one you want.

    - The used vehicle will have a higher interest rate.
    - How many miles on the 2019?

Do you plan on redoing the suspension? If so get the OR, if not get the Pro imo.

Pro will have a better suspension, leather seats, and a few other items. If you plan on changing out the suspension anyways, then maybe the OR, but honestly I can't see why you wouldn't go Pro over OR.

I assumed the Pro was used but since it's new.... Pro over off-road.

Pro will always keep a higher resale/trade in value.

Depends on the options on the OR IMO.

If no LED, i'd probably go Pro. If you want power driver seat, the new radio, and the LED's (if available), i'd go with the OR.

I was where you are at last fall and I went with the OR because the seat, Carplay and LED headlights. I don't have plans on messing with the suspension at any point, tho.
