I'm getting these rims for my '18 TRD Sport this weekend and had been planning on getting the Falken Wildpeaks, however I got offered k02s for $850 total, including installation, taxes and fees.

Is this a good enough price to make the switch from Wildpeaks to K02s?

I'm only going up to 265/70/17, no lift. Keeping the stock suspension.

I can vouch for the k02s being a great, quiet, durable tire in all conditions but winter. I’ve been impressed with mine.

Officially joined this gang. Wallet is much lighter since I opted for k02s over the Falken Wildpeaks, but I was able to score a decent deal on the tires.

Now I'm wondering if anyone with a Sport has had to remove the air dam with this setup? I'm on stock suspension and don't want to mess with a lift right now. The front tire clearance is really close to the air dam/road squeegee. I'd consider removing it but I know it serves a purpose for fuel economy and possibly something else for the engine (?)

Can anyone give some input on that?

Very nice truck!! Looks great with that wheel/tire combo. I still need to get mine mounted and seeing all these pictures is making me want to do it sooner than later now.

As for the air dam/chinstrap, I think it’s just there for mpg reasons but not sure how much it really helps. I say get rid of it.

WINTER: Snow Sport plow with back-drag modification, Bridgestone Blizzak DM V2 on steelies 265-70-17.
I had a Warn semi hidden winch mount installed by the dealership on my 2018 TRD sport. The chinstrap was removed. It only serves to prevent excess air from flow under the truck improving fuel economy. It doesn't do anything for the motor.

Naaa, feels about the same. Knowing the engine likes higher rpm, you kind of get use to it all.

Can anyone recommend some good mud flaps/guards that won't rub with this setup?

I have a 2018 TRD sport if that makes a difference.

I’m told they all rub. Oem’s rubbed on my ‘18 Pro. I used the normal sized rokblokz and they haven’t rubbed since. I also trimmed them prematurely without testing if they rubbed without.

So I've read quite a few pages of posts, and it seems like there are different results with rubbing when it comes to 265/65/17 on TRD 4R wheels on stock suspension. I'm a pariah driving an SR5 with stock suspension. I desperately want to upgrade my wheels/tires. I don't want to lift the vehicle, so I'm wondering if 265/65/17 will cause rubbing. Can I get an official answer before making the plunge?

I'm new to all of this so I apologize.
