Just installed them. Driving to alignment shop. It drives better than ever since I’ve owned it since January!

I just installed these about a month ago with bilstein 5100s.. I’m pleased with them as well.

Edit to add: don’t forget to pull the rubber covers off and grease the balljoints

Isn't there supposed to be a plug in the center of your hub?

You can either bend fender well back and un clip the wiring harness from it and slide it all the way out the front(what I did). Or you can cut the bolt and slide new ones in from the rear.

make sure the UCA bolt was torqued down at ride height. Bonded rubber bushings wont last long if they are bound at full droop.

Mine have treated me well. Alot of people are biased on other brands and for good reason but I couldn't justify paying twice as much... Yet...

And they’re completely rebuildable.. I’m curious what ball joints fit them without ordering from freedom off road. I’m guessing it’s a stock ball joint from something.

Adjustability is probably the only other reason, I have the original generation SPC UCA’s, half cast half tube, but with the upgraded grease able bj’s, and they saved me during my alignment. Stock cams only have so much room for adjustment.

    I’m kidding
All you have to do is bend the inner fender pinch weld a little and on the drivers side unbolt the 10mm holding the little bracket to the fender and you can wiggle it out. I would suggest getting a piece of steel rod or a 3/8 extension, and once the bolt gets to the right spot, stick it in the opposite side and bang the bolt the rest of the way out, just know you’ll have to do this all in reverse to reinstall them. Honestly if your bolts are still good and rust free, there’s no reason to cut them out and replace them, even if you skipped out on the bending and prying them out, you’re still going to have to get them in which requires the same amount of work and force.

Vise grip the sheet metal and bend it outwards away from engine bay. Took 10 mins each side to bend the metal.

Are these just eBay spec UCAs with added gussets and maybe better qc/warranty?

Im debating on getting a set for my vehicle versus ponying up a few hundred extra for something like balljoint camburgs. Don’t really need uniballs. And not really feeling the SPCs.

For all questions about them look up online for freedom tacoma uca’s installation video. It will explain a lot. ! From what u understand that they are all stock style press in bushings and ball joint

And the install vids also say to torque them. Will full droop

And per my alignment guy i didn’t get numbers for caster but he told me it was well worth my money that it made a big difference between stock uca and these uca

My alignment was done before and after uca install. So he could see difference

I would torque the main bolt going through the bushings and the ball joint through spindle with the truck on the ground. You don't want the bushings to be torqued down and set at full droop, it will cause binding and premature wear down the road.

That being said, same goes for lca bolts and lower balljoint.

well i followed the manufacturer’s installation of the uca and they torqued it without being on the ground. If it was an issue. I would think they would address it
