Hey guys. I am trying to repaint my roof that had some rust. I want to make sure it looks seamless so I am gonna repaint the whole roof panel from edge to edge. I want to remove the center brake light on the cab so I can paint around it. I got the cap off by removing the two screws but it looks like the light fixture itself is glued to the cab. Any recommendations?

Isn't it a law to have a 3rd brake light?

If I remember right I believe I saw someone pull the headliner down back there and either unscrew or unclip the light on the inside and then pull it out. I think the glue may be like a silicone adhesive to keep water out. I could be wrong though

He's just removing it to paint, then he'll put it back in.

I wonder how I can seal it back up when I reinstall it after I paint.
