    Never mind...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otto_cycle

Now I need to figure out what this means for my truck and its performance. Like, when would you want the SuperFOB tune over the other tunes?

This is my first truck in almost 20 years. And the only one I have been able to modify by non ghetto methods. So I am learning a lot.

do you want power or efficiency?

although a lot of people have seen better fuel economy on FOB.. especially the chunky bois

My drive home is ~1 hour so I should have a decent chance to form an opinion of this flash, although it's raining here. Let you all know in a few hours.

    Thank you too....power vs economy...

Is there data for each of these tunes, so we can decide over power vs economy?
Or is it based on our "butt" dyno and manual mileage tracking at the pumps over time?

    I am currently running 04A61 Build 16210.

There are dyno graphs for earlier versions of the tune in the OP. I'd love to see some dyno graphs for 2.0.

I cant find Mat's post on it but basically he said he's reconfigured the VVT or some stuff like Toyota did for the same engine on the 2020's. I looked up the Avalon and the Camry with the same engine and they're pushing 301 HP, and about the same Torque. So that's a gain over over 20 horses.

Mat said there’s differences other than the tune between the Tacoma engine and the Camry engine. He copy pasted the Camry tune into his Tacoma and still got less horsepower than the Camry

Just got back from a drive on the new 2.0. Only about 30 miles in, but definitely had a smile on my face. Can't wait for it to settle in.

Found it. It was from his MT blog over the weekend.

    - Updated Camshaft tables
We have updated our VVT tuning to incorporate some changes that Toyota has changed for 2020 model year vehicles that use this engine and produce higher horsepower and torque numbers than the Tacoma.

I wonder if Toyota put their updated tune into the 2020 tacos?
