    They did something. My 2020 OR drives and responds noticeably better than my 2018 did.

    This would be my guess,someone at Toyota has purchased the tune and is reverse engineering it...

    I thought we already knew that Mat had interactions with Toyota regarding tunes?

    So with 2.0, I assume that we will still have the option to exclude GL so that S mode still works as intended stock...

    your S mode as pre Tune will be via S mode with the ECT pushed (which will be tow mode) - otherwise the S mode w/o ECT engaged will be GL

    My first impressions from 2.0 SuperFOB Reg: LINEAR, SMOOTH, TIGHT, NICE! I noticed the smoothness right from leaving my parking space. Engine didn't jump rev's at the first stoplight while standing on the brakes. Transition from 1st to 2nd gear is big improvement; 2nd gear now has an immediate climb in engine speed, just like 1st gear did. I will need to re-calibrate my brain & foot!

    Mat, I bet you're proud of 2.0.Well done!

    I'm not sure, it was a long time ago, but perhaps it would be more accurate to say that Mat did not discourage speculation re: communication about Toyota Tacoma tunes.

    So is the prevailing theory right now that the ECT button will be pressed and ECT light on the dash illuminated in order to use the “performance” tune with map switching?

    Is map switching required? I’d rather just have the performance tune on at all times and not have the ECT light on.

    You figure this out?
    Noticed it today while getting ready for 2.0.
    (Note, feel free to flame me, as I have been lazy and not researched properly on this yet)

    @OVTune

    I agree, don't do it. Tapping the ECT Button every time after I start my engine is so easy and is just part of my routine. It's way easier than releasing the parking brake or moving the shifter out of park and even easier than just starting the engine. I would never spend any amount of money or take any amount of time to install something so I don't have to simply tap the ECT button.

    To use the different modes in 2.0 Final, you are GOING TO HAVE TO PUSH THE ECT BUTTON.
    D = Normal
    ECT+D = Performance
    ECT+S = Towing
    S = Gear Locking

    This alone is likely to cause some confusion for some. No need to make it more confusing.

    Idk. I honestly haven't paid any more attention to what version I'm using. If it works, it works and I'm not going to chase after a non existent problem lol

    Any update on pending handheld orders (the ones that made the "sold out" cutoff)?

    I'm going to start getting jealous over here!
