All these pages, questions, and other shit that is pointless, doesn’t answer the one question that matters. Are you even wheeling your rig? And I mean WHEELING.

you have a stock truck and are asking for some sliders that won’t do shit on a graded dirt road, even if poorly maintained and chopped to hell. Hitting the Rubicon? Crawling rocks? What exactly are you doing here?

If that’s the case (not wheeling it) find some you like the looks of and have some decent reputation that’s fits your budget (as it also seems you can’t wrap your head around freight shipping costs for the size and weight of these things), pull the trigger, and move on.

All that said, I had some BAMF sliders on my second gen. Beefy, solid as fuck, and had some awesome welds. Three things happened.

    1. prevented door dings.
    2. Saved my rear passenger door from a stump when I started to slide off a muddy as hell two track.
    3. Got a forearm width branch about 10’ long lodged through them and the leverage wasn’t enough to snap the branch, in turn put a massive dent on the bottom of my cab where it meets the bed. looked like a sledgehammer hit it.

They helped once, did damage once. And saved some dope dings. If you ain’t wheeling the piss outta it, than it’s all your personal preference.

Lol. Why you so mad, bro???

No one "wheels the piss out of" their stock truck if they're smart. They get prepared first. Remember how every truck leaves the factory STOCK? It has to start somewhere.

Try to refrain from making so many assumptions about how I do or don't use my truck, what level of mods it currently has, and my general feelings on freight costs (where did that even come from?)

All that being said, you made a good point about the branch damage situation. That's unlikely, but it could happen to anyone. Makes a case for full top plates and maybe avoid those types of situations.

You seem to take everything so personally. Relax bro. This is the internet. Just pick one. Local, price, style. Our opinions don't really matter. Its your truck.

They leave those spaces open for people that wanna go with mondo size tires. Unlikely you'll have a rock sneak in there.

I'm cool with that. Did we just become best friends?:drunk:

All bullshitting aside, I've yet to see anyone say they didn't like their Mobtown sliders. Plus every thread I've seen with any issues has been responded to by Mobtown to remedy the issue. Their customer service and relationships with the customer seems top notch. Being a smaller shop it feels more personal. @jowybyo @Mobtown Offroad Y'all wanna hold hands, too?

    I'm kidding

Lol. I mean, what did you expect from a sliders thread?:rofl:You had to know it was gonna be like this.:bananadead:

At least we've managed to get some good info and pics!

Digging the truck. Got any pics directly from the side? Trying to get a better look at the length on the sliders.

How much do they stick out from the cab with the driver door open looking down?

20 questions, I know. Trying to get a feel for these since you have your truck set up similarly to my overall goals for mine. Looks good.

I had RCI sliders on mine as well as my 2 4Runners before that. I was very happy with them. I am going back to a 4Runner and would sell you mine if you were closer.

Thanks for the feedback and the offer. Where are you located?

Never heard of these sliders, but they look nice. I don't see many Voodoo Blue around here

That's because people in the PNW are depressed and only want silver/gray/etc to match the neverending overcast skies
