    Hey Tom,
Yes the hydroflask is right at 3.6" To slide in and out the hole needs to be at least lets say 3.65". I've been playing with this for a while and made a few prototypes.

The biggest problem is that by the time I get the hole big enough, there is almost no material left around the edges, and I think it is also "ugly". See the picture from Solidworks attached, especially the 3 areas where I just run out of material completely and it cuts down to nothing. This is about the minimum size to fit a hydroflask. In addition, I'm just a bit concerned about the bottle hitting the three (or 6) black tabs inside the console, which the original inserts align to (and my product uses as well).

I have a list of people interested, so I just made a few changes and shortened the depth of the insert a bit. I'll run a prototype this weekend and post the results and see how it goes, and then reach out to the hydroflask folks and see if they think the "compromises" that have to be made to make this fit are considered acceptable.

Thanks for the interest and I will update soon!

    Hi Ryan,
Based on your image and the need for stability, we are convinced to try one of your 'scratch+dent' products first. Is that option still available?

Happy happy customer!!! Wasn’t happy with the fit of my first scratch and dent insert so me and the seller started talking. Mine seemed to come out really easy and get stuck to the bottom of a cup at times. So the seller went above and beyond and printed me a brand new insert with smaller gaps in the bottom so it slides down into the cup holder snuggly! Fits like a glove nice and tight just how I wanted it. Stand up guy who stands behind his product.

Used 3in to 4in pvc adapter and glued on 4in pvc pipe for depth. Should work with OP"s inserts .Only thing is it sits high . It will fit in front cup holder as its the same as the one I put in back . But draw back is its big .
If OP can design one that works would be much better because with the adapter flask sits about 3in higher

    NOTE
This does not fit in stock cup holder

Alright, I did some more work on the Hydroflask. Video explains it best.

Summary is that my insert will do nothing to "hold" the hydroflask and will simply be there for appearance purposes. Not sure its feasable to do Hydro on both sides or just one, havent tried. I can make a version with Hydro hole on left or right, or maybe both? Going to run another prototype to thicken up the edges, mostly for cosmetic purposes and I can get some out to the folks interested.

Great video! It does explain a lot! You are right, it just needs to surround the flask and not let it tip and possibly jump out. The tabs in the tray bottom (on that side) will help to hold the flask instead of the insert. Great work! Just let me know when I can order one!!
