Worse things have been said about me for sure. Most of them by my wife or myself.

For anyone having troubles updating and downloading follow Mat's instructions post #17380 on page 869

I finally got around to installing the updated flash manager today on a better internet connection at work. No issues.

Not many miles yet but SFOB premium is just to nutty for the most of my local driving. When this tank is up I will be flashing REG base.

Not that it's bad, 1st gear will get me in trouble! This is on skinny 33s also. I can imagine you stock guys one wheel squealing every turn lol

haha Woops it’s been a whiles since I’ve tuned. Been on the original 2.0 beta. Got it! Had to update to the new flash manager. Has everyone been updating to the new version of PCM Flash?

I just flashed 2.0 Base. I was running 1.05 since last July. It took me a while to update to the new flash manager with all of the anti virus crap.

With the stock tune, my truck hesitated and got horrible gas mileage - around 17mpg in a mix of 75% highway, 25% city - after I put about 1000 miles on it (had it driven that way when I test drove it, I wouldn't have bought it). When I flashed to 1.05, the truck was consistently getting around 18-19mpg and drove a whole lot better. Over time, the hesitation and poor throttle response came back a little every once in a while, and my gas mileage decreased a little (still about 1mpg better than stock).

After I flashed it tonight and let it idle for about 5 minutes, I took it for a short drive. I was getting some noticeable hesitation and some weird throttle response after shifting for the first 5-10 miles, but it kept getting better and better. I only ended up putting about 15 miles on it due to other priorities, but it feels pretty good. I have approximately a 10mile commute to work, so hopefully it will settle in some more tomorrow. I will say that the shifting is much better - no more gear mashing going into 2nd! I noticed that the instant fuel economy on the dash showed I was getting better fuel economy - hopefully a full tank will show that (I have 91 w/no ethanol in it right now). Looking forward to getting more miles on it!

    HELP

Crossing the country. Tuned to 87 FOB lifted truck and a healthy amount of shit in the box and cab (800+ lbs) was doing great 15-16 mpg 80mph through mountain passes. Got to ND and their 87 gas must be terrible got
11-12 the last two tanks and driving 75 and flat road... figured it’s the ethanol in the 87 they don’t have on the west coast.

Can I run 91 without flashing I’m sure it’s fine but making sure... I don’t wanna get 12 the rest of my drive...
    Thanks

Fuel in the Dakota’s is terrible. Every time I’ve gotten fuel there, I’ll drop at least 2 mpg. Doesn’t matter what station, I’ve tried them all. It’s a dakotas thing that I’ve never been able to figure out. Same thing happens in my buddy’s f150 up there.

I just try to avoid getting gas there.

Drove from Spokane to Blaine, wa just shy of the CA border about 770 miles between yesterday and today. Had the 2.0 superfob loaded up and I was putting 91-92 octane in throughout the trip. West side fuel Is fucking expensive! I’ve got a 3 inch lift, 285/70/17s, pulled a trailer back and her snoqualmie pass back to Spokane.. going around 65 ish for most of the way back. Not adjusted for

I was able to pull uphill and pass with good speed gains in 5th, tried not to lug it in 6th but left in it cruise in 6th at 65 for most of the flats

Decent. That's on par with my truck regardless the tune. My best highway mpgs come from drafting the semis. It can be a fun relaxing game shifting lanes with a well aware semi driver on long highway runs.

It’s always safe to use a higher octane than the tune rating. You may not get all the benefits of the higher octane tune, but it won’t harm anything.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
I asked Matt this same question last week in preparation. Here is his reply. I'm just waiting for AT files.

Virginia is one of those rip off states that charge 60-70 cents more between 87 and 93. While other states charge in 10 cent increments

Just received my ovtune kit today. Excited to get this Ecm calibration flashed.

Installed TFM and it looks like all files are available. First time user, would I still need to email for a registration key to zendesk? @OVTune
