Went to Costco in Hayward earlier today to buy some home supplies. I couldn't find toilet paper or paper towels and some other basic stuff. I was like WTF!

I’d drive one right now if they would give us the damn D4-D...

I want heated and cooled leather seats, a sunroof, auto lights, etc. Basically everything my 2012 F150 came equipped with that my fully loaded 2015 Tacoma didn’t come with.

I can fix the ugly front end “underbite” front bumper with a BAMF bumper. I just can’t fix that damn engine.

If they brought back the Manual ACLB O/R id seriously be considering it.

Edit: If they sold it in the US again*

Yes you can fix the engine and transmission. I think engine is fine and has enough power, it's the tranny that is killing it. Ever since I got 5.29s and OVTune, it is a completely different truck. I actually love driving it now vs. when I got it first. I was thinking it will be more like my second gen. But now I like it better than my second gen.

I used to say the same thing. If you go off-roading you will realize that automatic is much better while off-roading than manual. Ask @CrashN'Burn
Manual is fun to drive in pavement, but I prefer auto on trails.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Ya... we just found that out today. My daughter's fiance's brother... the best man at their wedding is stationed in Italy. He was told today, that he can't take leave because if he leaves Italy, they wont let him come back in.

You’ve had to go to 5.29 ratio to make it driveable? Holy fuckballs! What size tire are you running and are you familiar with the surface tension issues of the lower ratios on our diffs? I don’t mean to be a negative Nancy here, but man I hope your not expecting a long service life out of those gears.

I can totally see auto being eaiser/better, especially for more extreme or technical shit. Feathering the clutch over boulders and in tight spaces means replacing alot of clutches lol. Not to mention more room for user error (hopping/lurching/ect).

But the feeling i get from driving a manual in the dirt/sand/mud is hard to beat. It feels like im more connected to my vehicle. The rocks...yeah that may just be a PITA lol

The shade is nice, until a tree goes through your roof or a limb snaps off and takes out a power line igniting a wildfire. Too many dead ones from too many years of drought and even the live ones pose a risk. Some places deal with tornadoes, some with hurricanes, we get mudslides in the winter and firestorms in the fall. All in all though I still prefer it over anyplace else.
