So, my experience with UVTune so far has been less than stellar...and I have not even installed the software yet! First, it took (2) weeks to ship the flash kit. I finally get the kit and then I send in my code to register the software. We're on (4) days and counting, no response to e-mails and I can't seem to find their phone number.

I have now tuned (17) cars not including my new Tacoma. I have never had so many delays and poor customer service. Let's hope that this is just due to their inability to keep up with demand. If this is the norm, I will be looking elsewhere for a tune. Anyone had similar experience?

I believe it states in the confirmation email to register as soon as you place your order. My kit shipped in about two weeks but I bought it during a sale so I expected a delay.

2.0 sounds awesome so far. But I want ECT back as ECT.

Just give separate tunes to flash. How many people are switching tunes on the fly that often that rendering the ECT button as a performance tune button actually makes sense. None.

Just flash a different tune if you fill up with different fuel.

Won't that be his ECT + D mode? No gear lock, but performance instead? Stock ECT is kind of a performance map; i.e. it held gears a little longer and throttle response *seemed* a bit more sensitive. I don't think there will be different octane maps in the same tune. My take is that one tune will get you the multiple maps. And there may or may not be multiple tunes since he's implementing OLE. Well, I think there's two.. a high and a low octane tune. Both covering different ranges.

I could be a bit off on something here, but I've been following pretty closely and this is what I *think* is happening.

I’ve been waiting 6 weeks to receive my handheld that was in stock when I purchased. I’m staying patient and hopeful for now since I know he’s busy on all the 2.0 stuff, etc.

Man I hope 2.0 Final for autos has a rev limit update as well. I hate how my truck just falls flat on its face or de-fuels when it hits the rev limiter. Terrible for high speed/pre-running conditions. I could bang the rev limiter all day long on my 2nd gen...

Doesn't ECT technically change the performance of the truck? And he is just improving on that.
It is also ECT "Power" so the button now gives you, well, more power...
    #BringECTBack -> #ECTNeverLeft

    Unless you want stock ECT...
In those rare cases were you want to go back and feel what it was like to be a pleb.

    typo: fix etc to ect...

i might be a bit late to the party but is anyone running this tune with a throttle lag controller to help cut down on some of it or does the tune fix that as a part of it?

I agree 100%. It was definitely a noticeable difference from the 2019s even.

less time between hitting the pedal and the car speeding up
so no need to mess with the pedal response?

something like a throttle master so there is less time between the pedal down and the car accelerating

ok? there a pretty common mod in most other cars and i want one so when i hit the pedal on rocks i go instead or rev the engine for a 1/2 second and start to rock backward
