I got a thing today. On the sale end cap. Marked down to $79. So it was $10 less than buying just the battery. Been wanting a impact Driver for a while now.

Nice. Now that's one tool I do not have.
Please let us know how it works once you have it set up.

It's awesome. Comes with an 80 grit roll. I bought 180 for it. It's quiet but dusty if you don't have collection hooked up. It comes with a dro attached already. It took only a few minutes to set up the squareness. The feed belt tracking is perfect out of the box.

I can't wait to use it on other projects. I think I'll throw the 180 on it and see how it fairs. The 80 is really aggressive but cleaned up some rough cut pretty quick.

Interested in how these work also. I’ve used the industrial Timesaver belt sanders but none of the home type. Would be a good thing to have.

I always used them after running the wood through the planer to get the wood to final size. Took any chatter marks or imperfections the planer left.

I have been lucky in that my Uncle has an industrial 60" sander in his cabinet shop. I have taken a few big piece there but I hate to do anything like that when he has a job going on. Those things can be a beast.

Got the hipster dominoes done, and delivered to the bar yesterday. The owner was "super impressed" by them, and now wants a giant Jenga set.

Honestly, I've got a metric tonne of 2x4s in the garage that need a new home. So that's where they're going. Luckily for me, the dude that owns the bar has zero "garage capability", so when he sees stuff like that- he knows its out of his wheelhouse. I pretty much gave away the dominoes, so I'm going to recoup some of my money with the Jenga set. Thankfully, he doesn't want the pockets drilled for jello cups. From all the videos I've seen, this project shouldn't take me more than a few days. He said he didn't want stain, but I may throw a coat of butcher block oil on the pieces for longevity. Crossing my fingers this leads to more projects for the bar.

Thanks man, I know my stuff can't compete with most of what I see on here. But dgaf, if I'm getting paid and the buyer's happy- I'm happy.

Disassembled the rickety playhouse and salvaged it for another year or two for the kids.

Made a little forward progress on the Jenga set last night. Ended up going with 3x9x1.25 for the pieces, as I didn't want it to be too grande for their benches on the patio.

Side note: I'm getting some corner tearout when doing the .25" roundover on the router table. The router is set at top speed, and I'm wondering if that's what's causing it. If I slow it down a little, will that help combat it?
