Are there any trails that are similar to butcher jones beginning section? Trails that offer quicker paced wheeling with sand and much much less brush (further down butcher jones turns into a quad trail).

Funny you suggest that micropiper, i took a friend out to bj the other day and she goes " this reminds me of box canyon" lol. hopefully there are a lot less jack legs driving jeeps out in box canyon compared to bj.

Its usually not too bad. I tend to go early and theres no real wheeling to do just playing in the sand. There are a few chill spots along the canyon.

That trip had the most water ive seen out there . Right now im pretty sure its dry untill you get to the canyon. Unlike at jones the sand is really deep in places. If you are gonna try it take a 4wd buddy and a strap and air down a bunch. I run 15 psi there so my truck floats on the sand.

Im runnin 31s. My truck is really light I run 28psi in the back and 32 in the front on the street. For normal trail use I drop all four to 20 psi.

Im guessing 31x10.5? are you 4x4?

only reason I am asking is because you mentioned really deep mushy sand and just trying to get a better idea without being there lol and the fact that i have skinny tires

yep 10.5s and 4x4. The first time I was there I didnt air down and almost overheated trying to keep moving. I think it would be possible if you were locked or can keep from having to stop. The beginning is the worst once you get back to the canyon the sand firms up and its an easier drive.

There is stuff off the US60 on the way to Globe. THats where a lot of people go test there desert trucks. Also tons of things in Casa Grande and a little south. But you have to look a map of what land is what before you go out there because Gila River and the other Reservation police Will Give you a fat ticket if they catch you out there on their land. They have 2 Raptors that I have seen now so you won't out run them if you were to try lol

    haha Casino moneys man.

I've been out in casa grande a while back in my old truck because we had land out there. as for stuff off the 60. I have not been out there. I have seen some video and pictures and it all really flat and mostly faster trails with some trees and bushes. I'm going to be going out there sometime really soon though because my truck will be fixed and my friend will have his bed cage done. So I'll do a little trail report.
