Why this oil price war is bigger than most people think. Why I keep talking about companies going bankrup if it's a prolonged oil war or unless the government steps in.
I don't understand why Tesla hasn't tanked yet

also why the stock market was oversold and didn't tank sooner
This guy has a bunch of good videos explaining the REPO market

So, for someone who knows absolutely nothing about stock, where would one go to read about leaning to dabble in it?

I've learned the most just from this thread. When something new is commented on, I do an internet search on the topic to get up to speed. From there, often references to different articles are often listed.

Tesla hasn't tanked because it's not based on any kind of reality. Never had a profitable year, but is worth more than the other auto makers combined? It's like Bitcoin or Tulip Bulbs, give it time, you can only go so long without making money.

The virus is pretty much gone in China. No more news about it. I'd say plan accordingly for it to be forgotten in about 2 months.

I don't doubt that, there will probably be a few bad quarters. I am just saying, if this was the end of the world, China would be about half wiped out by now. They're barely adding new cases or deaths. In a few months nobody will even be talking about this.

I don’t know. I never trusted the numbers coming out of China. I’m going to put on my tinfoil hat and say maybe the government just wanted to go back to work so they quit reporting new cases

same. I don't believe China's numbers. Then again, they took some extremely authoritarian measures to curb it, and other countries aren't really doing that, at least not yet.

gonna share this one more time.

    https://www.arcgis.com/apps/opsdash...ChH4q2Cbtao#/bda7594740fd40299423467b48e9ecf6

Notice how China's numbers are not doing the same thing as everyone else's (aka growing exponentially).

Judging by the number of data points, we should have started seeing a drop in the rate of growth by now, but we haven't. China has 1 billion people. I just don't believe them.

And the US isn't any better, FWIW. We only have very few test kits, so the number of confirmed cases is likely grossly underestimated.

The majority of cases are also mild or asymptomatic (according to what we're told), so I doubt we'll ever get real numbers from anyone. I think it will shake out, years later after the CDC does more research, to be a new flu strain.

I'm not a medical expert so I'm not going to make any assumptions, but when medical institutions are taking precautions, cancelling business trips, and otherwise being skittish, that's when I get concerned. They might say "just wash your hands bro", but when they cancel stuff, and start outlining procedures for working from home, reducing travel, etc., the truth likely lies somewhere in the middle.

that was a short dead cat bounce. I bought more TVIX at market open because I'm a degenerate. And I'm once again trying to go long on Natgas.

I agree, somewhere in the middle is likely true. I don't necessarily trust medical "professionals" either with all of the political bias in today's world.
