    Thats the answer!

If you wait to long she may think it will never happen, and get tired of waiting... That don't mean go buy a ring today, but think about it for a while.

some of this, a little of that
my wife and I married when I was 21, this Saturday will be our 11 year anniversary. My best friend waited until he was 30 and his may end after only a couple of years. For me it worked out very well, for him not so much. It is kind of a leap of faith, I do not regret my decision. Good luck to you, and post more of her. :D

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
Yeah, how long it lasts is all up to you and her, are you really willing to stick together through thick and thin. You have got to know what you want, and then from there you just go for it (hope she "knows" the same).

That would be a red flag. If you agree with this then you're setting yourself up for failure.

    Stop

    HAMMER TIME....ok jk.

Seriously, break down the facts here and what it means. In a perfect situation you'd ask her when YOU'RE READY. Doing it because you're scared she'll leave you is SERIOUSLY fucked up; no other way to describe it.

Sit down, and have the talk.

I told mine that there wasn't a chance in hell we'd get married before we finished college and got stable jobs. But I didn't stop there, and you shouldn't either. Tell her WHY you think that. My reasoning was that when I got done with college I might want to go back for an MBA or maybe college would take me longer than expected (change of major). I also made it quite clear that I wasn't going to be married and living off my parents. That's just wrong in so many ways.

Then she'll know what the time line is and everything should be fine. It's like waiting for something to download; if you have a progress bar you know if you can go make a sandwich. No progress bar and you'll be glued to the screen thinking it could finish at any moment. Which situation do you think will piss you off the most?

Yes that is true. Forgot to add the part about that lol. I worded that pretty bad. If she would be willing to leave you for waiting, it probably wouldn't work anyways.

Took the first step today...well i guess two first steps...today after work i stopped by a couple jewerly shops to look at rings, just to see whats out their and whats my price range. Then i went over to her parents house today and talked to her dad about it...We're pretty close, but talking about this kind of stuff made me nervous as hell. But he was down for it, and gave me a hug
