Pretty much, but that also leads to more rattling in the cab....

Let’s everyone know I’m on the way, so they can get out of way if I arrive in pieces.

Read somewhere that Alcan springs is putting their business up for sale...so I went ahead and placed the order for new leaf springs that I've been going back and forth on for forever now. If they end up selling the company then who knows what might happen with their quality/reputation, wanna make sure I get a set of springs from them before that happens.

I swear this better be the last set of leaf springs I buy for a long damn time lol

We talking the white/clear SuperLube stuff? I got some of that and while it works, it seems to melt when it gets hot. Do I have the wrong shit?

I haven't bought it before, I have the Energy suspension stuff right now but it's also white/clear and extremely sticky and thick. Haven't really checked it out when it gets hot though so I can't say

I just noticed it got soft and runny in the tub last summer here in Tucson when it was hot. Wasn't very impressed with that. More often than not I use either Valvoline full synthetic wheel bearing grease or some red, full synth grease I found at Vatozone. It actually works good, I use it on the OME shackles in the rear and all the zerk fitting I can find.

    SuperLube I have - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0083R1FME/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I was curious too, I always thought lithium is what you want, then I looked it up and TC recommends Grease with ptfe in it. I use a moly lithium grease. It doesnt melt like the super lube lithium does.

Daystar and Energy suspension both recommend a silicone based PTFE grease, probably the same kind of thing TC recommends

Looks like that actually is the wrong stuff. Looked it up on Super Lube's website and this is what you actually want to get - https://www.amazon.com/Super-Lube-71160-Translucent-Accessories/dp/B001VXXJ5I

This is the 71160 stuff. The first link I posted is for the 41160 stuff which is not high-temp nor EP rated. 71160 is.

Interesting. Well looks like I will try that out next time i need more grease. Tc recommends this no silicone, but has ptfe
