Did you read turbo Dans thread about the axle being not centered? I don’t know if it’s really an issue but it might be something to ask about.

I think it’s like, Israeli military surplus? I bought it for a spirit week costume a few years ago. I was a CDA guy from Monsters Inc, I even have the yellow DuPont chemical suit somewhere.

What do you mean, about his Alcan springs not being even or something? That's kind of what I think is the issue with my Expos, either a bent pin or bent something is making my rear axle tweaked. Sure hope I don't also have that issue with the Alcans, never had it with the Dakars.

Do the manufacturers supply different grades of pad for the same vehicle/model?
No. Unless brakes are specified as part of an upgraded package or something. All 200 Series Land Cruisers will get the same brake pad out of the factory.
All Corollas for our market will have the same brake pads out of the factory, (unless there is a specified brake upgrade for the XRS model, etc.)
I dunno if that answered your question. I am trying, I promise:D

Even, but for some reason they push the axle back like an inch, I’ll go try and find the link

hmm...well backward isn't that bad I don't think. My issue with the Expos is they pushed one side more forward and caused my 33" tire to rub the bed really badly.

But I suppose if it is an issue then a relocation plate would have to be in order

Also going to take the opportunity to finally install my axle shims that I've had forever, hopefully that will help my rear pinion angle once and for all

Huh? Toyota would still have that manufacturer making the pads for the Toyotas. Example, I order brake pads for the 1999 Land Cruiser. Toyota will sell me a box of brake pads that could've been manufactured by Sumitomo (I think that's who made/makes the pads for the 100 series) a year ago or 20 years ago, but the spec of the pad will not change

Not that kind of rub, mine was hitting the front corner of the fender and chewing the shit out of my tire.

Hmm well that is a bit concerning, just the kind of thing I was hoping to avoid by going with custom leaf springs. But if that turns out to be the case then I'll have to get some relocation plates. As long as it's even on both sides I'll be happier than I am now...having one side more forward than the other makes my alignment all fucky

Dan had them make a new top leave with the center hole moved x” amount forward, I’m sure he’d be happy to talk to you about, but I’m not gonna bring him into here.

I’m also sure Alcan would talk to you about it.

Yeah it sounds like it's an issue for some and not others, I'll have to wait and see I suppose

Judging by Dan's pics it's pretty obvious lol, his tires are definitely not centered in the wheel well in the before pics
