    Ya think?

I first thought this was a Friday thread, but for fucks sake, it's real.

How often do you look at the glove box key hole while driving? Do you drive from the passenger seat?

Beats the hell out of me. They should tape off the glass, and gauges, then set off a black paint bomb inside their trucks.

It was $47 for a complete blackout kit. By far one of the most noticeable mods compared to value. The blackout kit stops the chrome reflection from the sun and it doesn't pick up fingerprints/smudges like the chrome. I have sensitive eyes (green), and this blackout kit stopped the glare. After joking with Rich at TVD vinyl that the key hole was the only silver part left, he sent me a piece for that and started including it in his blackout kits. Actually, the glass for the AT shifting window produced the most glare. I'll have this truck for at least 10 years. Might as well fix these minor annoyances early on... :notsure:

I hate to revive an old thread that probably wasn't taken seriously, but I have to admit, after doing the Meso chrome delete, I really need to find a solution for this chrome keyhole on the glovebox. It stares at me like a large, ugly, one-eyed lady at closing time....Anybody sell a vinyl kit or sticker for this? Thanks..

I cut my own with a razor out of some leftover black vinyl from another project. It’s pretty insignificant, but it only took me 5 or 10 minutes and it completed the look I was going for... zero chrome. It’s near impossible to cover completely though, because the inner flap for the key isn’t easy to stick something onto, and even if you could, it would probably get scraped off quickly with the key.

The glovebox keyhole doesn't look that bad not blacked out. Same for the ignition keyhole. The "shiny" metal is not chrome. (My dash, etc., is an understated combination of blacks and grays.)
