I don’t think that’s what he meant. I remember some dude created an ‘official’ new ovtune thread. I think he said that ovtune could PM him if something on the original post needed changed.

What's the procedure for switching octanes? Refill on a near empty tank, and stick with it 2-3 tanks to take full effect??

Caulk that son of a bitch. My 2016 has been dripping for 4 years but lately it got worse. I ran a bead of caulk around the top and sides of the brake light and now through car washes and heavy rains, not a drip. /knock on wood

    Can someone help me out,
My laptop, that I installed the tuning flashtool on started to crash hard.
Just a couple hours ago, the harddrive is basically dying. #Clickofdeath

I have another laptop, can I simply install the flashtool then use the same regfile?
Or do I have to contact @OVTune again to get a new regfile?

You'll need a new reg file for a new laptop.

Why are people saying to uninstall FM and install 1.3? When you click update in 1.3 it updates immediately to 1.35 with the same look as Mat posted a few pages back with the same dropdown showing the MT 2.0 files...just wondering why you would go backwards?

It depends what version you have. I had a super old one and had to remove and install the new one.

Update worked on the one I had but random Files wouldn’t download

?? does your drop down show "Toyota Tacoma" or just "Tacoma" ??? mine was the later - so I did the uninstall and updated to the new FM release. Only issue was I am x64 and the new release is x86 so I had to update windows vcm (fix shown on same page as download). ??

Not saying you have to update. If 1.3.5 works for you that's ok. Just pointing out that FM 1.3.0, Nov 2019, is the latest version. Menus are changed a bit and has built in datalogging. And, if you want to install the latest version it's suggested you uninstall all previous version first. :)

You know what would be the end all be all? The ability to flash straight from mobile device via iOS or Android with the adapter/plug. Probably few years down the road, but that would be sweet.

I'd be super happy to see 2.0 drop before I have to put on 1000 miles next week with my Tacoma! I'm so pumped

I think you guys need to remember.

For the mt he had to make like 4 tune files for all the ecu calibrations.

For the at he has to make.

    All the same files plus

    Different tire size
    Different gear ratio size
    Map switching code

Plus he has the transmission stuff inside for you guys.

It make sense for it to take a little longer honestly.
