The point was that many factories are closed. If the welder was not already in the states, there could be a delay on delivery.

On the plus side, your card is really not charged until the item is delivered.

He’s probably referring to it being stuck on a ship or in China where it’s manufactured

It was meant to mean if it was out of China.

We have been advised parts from China might be delayed .

Photographer buddy got a bunch of pics from me welding the tabs onto his truck but I thought I’d just share one of my favorite. I need a post lift.

Yes you do. It's a game changer!

Mine was $2200 delivered. They are getting so reasonable in price now.

I have a 225 amp TIG, 60 amp plasma cutter, and a 150 amp MIG. I am paranoid about sparks in my garage, so I try to do all welding/cutting outside, weather permitting.

I made two extension cords I run on 30amp circuits. Put in two outlets for convenience. Never had any issues.

    upload_2020-3-11_20-22-17.jpg

I had the 150 amp MIG first and had made a 10 gauge stranded 20" cord. Used it for both that and the plasma after I bought it. Kind of a hassle switching back and forth, but I am not making a living with these tools, so....

Then, when I bought the 225 amp TIG, I made the second cord, also 20', but used 8 gauge stranded.

I know the cords on the machines are smaller than these extension cords, but I figure I am not loosing any appreciable amperage in the delivery circuit, so it was worth the little extra in cost. Plus the stranded is a breeze to coil and doesn't fight me at all no matter where I take my machines.

5/8 weld with .045 FCAW. Wanted to see how close I could get to a perfect weld size and that shit was on the moneyyyy. It’s harder than people realize to do big fillet welds evenly.

That's the main reason I change all my welder power cords as well. Those wedding prick stiff cords can't be replaced fast enough!

Not gonna lie, when I see these pics of people welding I always wish someone would take one of me. Just to have. One of my favorite pictures of my father is A candid one of him wrenching on a car circa 1980. Just a daily pic of his life at the time. I keep it in my toolbox as a reminder to “work hard and stay humble”.
