"Finishing up the last few that were brought up. I have one more scheduled before I can depart. Our warranty/product support for the moment is just me and the PIT is something we put together to make this easier but the warranty states that the camper must be brought back to our facility for work so those brought back have priority. The plan is still the same, we are nearing the end of the month but I should be out in February and on the road. I will b less active on here while on the road so any questions/comments/concerns will be better directed to my email or my phone if you have it."

    Exactly.

I was hoping it had already started and people had feedback on how it went, how long it took and so on. I asked in public so hopefully they won’t have to answer 150 emails.

I asked here as well as their form since I suspect there are more still more gfc users here.

With the lack of communication I was hoping I did not miss it. My worry is there will be little warning like delivery.

With my luck I’ll be out of town during the local window.

I also was curious how many are done. Are 149/150 done and I am the last holdout? Doesn’t seem likely.

I feel bad for the mobile repair guy. I don’t think he was an original employee. He joined a company after they put out flawed builds and gets sent away from home to clean up the mess.

His previous employer was Pelfreybilt so he's got some experience with the overlanding company management style.

That was only posted after asking for an update after weeks of nothing.

Emails went out a while ago that something would happen but no specific dates or times, then public radio silence.

A public announcement might save them 150 emails to update people which did seem to be the point of their thread.

Haven't been following since I sold mine out of frustration, but it's up to 150 that may need hinge replacements now?

What happened to it just being the few unfortunate souls like myself who had campers updated without hinge replacement at the factory?

I remember my camper was fairly unique in that when it was resealed none of the hinges were replaced and that was the sole reason for my issues. At least that's what I was told.

Regardless, I hope it all gets sorted for you.

Unclear. They originally stated ~100 with potential hinge issues, but sent emails to 150 for mobile repair. Potentially because mobile repair might cover more than just hinges.

Crazy. They made it sound to me like I was just unlucky and it was unfortunate circumstances.

That number though, that's like almost a fifth/sixth of total campers delivered then, right?

Best of luck to you. I hope everything gets resolved soon. Better weather and more daylight are around the corner.

Recently met a guy in San Diego-selling his Gen 3 back to the dealer due to rust issues on painted surfaces.

    I'm here for the memes
@wileydavis I have recently been looking into reading up on this issue you guys were having on Tacoma forums as well as your own GFC forum about the hinge breaking. I do know that you came up with a new hinge system that is no longer utilizing the rivet style doors and now only the weather stripping. How is that system working out? It looks like a better system overall. I wanted to ask a question/make a suggestion. Would it be easier for those that already have this issue to be able to swap out their old style hinges and doors for these newer style? It may be cost effective to those that are stilling waiting for theirs to be fixed and it could be easier on you as a company knowing they have the latest that you are currently using on your current campers. Would appreciate your feed back

Unlikely that you will receive a response here, they have mostly abandoned this forum for their own. Reach out to Mike over there as he is the one tracking warranty repairs.
