I know you've mentioned the plumbing being an ongoing issue and having to deal with it in emergencies. That must be frustrating to have in the back of your mind

I feel that too because I have had relatives have a clogged sewer line that then backflowed and flooded their basement.

I got a quote of 6-8K to excavate my yard and replace the sewer line in the case that it breaks or clogs irreparably

yeah the plumber keeps telling my wife that the only proper fix is for them to redo the pipes underneath the building, and of course the landlord that owns that retail center wants none of that. And he refuses to cover her cleaning costs when she has to have a crew come in a clean the studio after a big back up. The landlord actually forced the plumber to keep quiet on the issue so now he won't even say a word to my wife when he comes in to work on her studio lol. The main issue is the pipes being super old and half clogged with corrosion buildup.

I get that it will probably be an enormous expense, but this guy has a ton of big retail tenants on his site (Whole Foods, TJ Maxx and others). I'm sure he could if he would admit it needs to be done, but he won't.

which is why i've concluded I'm not gonna go to work anymore and live with the GF.

Not driving to see the GF will save 4-6 hours a week for the weekends I do visit her. Getting a fulltime WFH job will save me another 2.5-3 hours a day

You've never felt the gentle kiss of a wet wipe on the chocolate starfish?

I only use them if camping more than 2 or so days to keep the pits and other areas from getting 2 grody

But yeah those things are a lifesaver while camping, especially for multi day trips. Who needs a portable shower when you have wet wipes haha

Also you can extend your time in-between showers by simply rolling some deodorant under your balls...pro tip

The worst was 5 years ago when I went on a 4 day backpacking trip through the Yosemite backcountry with my dad and brother. My brother and I had to share a small 2 man hiking tent which was really only big enough for one of us, barely. That 3rd night in the tent smelled so freaking bad. Between our freeze dried hiking meal farts and sweaty, un-showered bodies that tent smelled like old rotted cheese. Had to burn it when we got home

that's fuckin nasty man I can smell it reading your story. Worst we had was the dog shit itself inside its kennel on our way up north last camping trip, and the cat shit inside the tent overnight on a previous trip.

I was going to strap the dog into the bed after it shit itself in the back of the truck in its kennel. Smelt so bad, but I started strapping it down and realized a plastic kennel is not very reliable to strap down and avoid flying out my bed haha

I get that, 2 weeks of guiding hunters and packing out bears leaves a similar smell. We forced our selves to shower in a cold ass creek.
Last time one of the hunters offered us their hotel from shower , was nice.
