Jesus, my physics professor must be terrified of the corona virus, he started recording lectures and stopped taken attendance (only one I’ve had that’s actually taken it) so we don’t have to come to class, and he made it so we can take our midterms at home, open resource.

    wtf

Freakin crazy, I’d quit my job and move home (not out of fear).

Wonder what they do with classes that can be broadcasted, like labs and shit.

Oooh, so it’s ok to be infected through “experience” but not through lecture

They’re taking it pretty seriously here. They’re asking us to move out of our housing until the end of April. Additionally, San Francisco banned all public events. Santa Clara County banned all public events over 1,000 people.

My commute to SF takes me past the Port of Oakland which is a cargo port only, and I was surprised to see the Grand Princess docked there. They were the only port that was willing to take the quarantined passengers. It was really surreal to see the Yellow flag flying on their mast, indicating the ship was quarantined.

Online. We have video conferencing software everyone uses, so we just watch our lectures now. As for labs, I have no idea. I don’t have labs this semester.

I kinda hope Utah gets scared..... That’d be great...

Other than homework, working in groups is nice for that.

California has a massive population, and it’s a huge port and flight hub. I can understand why everyone is being careful. SF had two confirmed cases, and there was a Covid death in Santa Clara County, which is the Silicon Valley
