SOLVED: Low beam is out - Any Advice?

I’ve got a 2018 TRD Sport and my passenger side low beam stopped working. It’s not the bulb (replaced it) and it’s not the fuse (checked it). My next step is to put a multi-meter to the harness but I’m wondering if there are any known issues that someone could advise me of.

Did you just look at the fuse or did you meter it? As you may see here, the fuse to the low beams are after the relay and the relay has power always (15A fuse).

 

I looked at the fuse (wasn’t burnt) and then replaced it with a spare 10 amp, problem persisted. I pulled the relay and reseated it just in case it was loose, but no joy on that either. I didn’t meter it though, maybe it’s a bad relay... I’ve got a service appointment next week for the millimeter wave recall, and since I’m under warranty I’ll have them take a look at it if I don’t get it solved by then.

Pull the relay again, make a jumper wire. Insert one side to pin 3 then to pin 5. See if the low beams illuminate.

Both...you could test left and/or right if you remove the fuses to the lamps...

 

It's the multi function switch.

Change the blinker/headlight switch.

They are easy to change.

 

Low driver works , Passenger low quit only. And don't have 12 volts to it just checked with meter .Driverside 12.1v.

 

And all 4 fuses are good also.

 

2018 should still be under warranty, shouldn't it? I'd let the dealer deal widdit!

Swap bulbs...verify
Then meter the fuse (without) pin to the bulb connector...

 

For my OP, the issue was that I had a bad add-a-fuse I was using to run some raptor lights in my grille. All fuses were good, bulb good, everything metered fine. I replaced the add-a-fuse tap and everything works again.

 

Was it "inverted" or damaged the add-a-fuse?
