If you take exit 29 off of the Northway and head west on Blue Ridge Rd towards Newcomb, there are some views along there. Also at exit 29, if you take Blue Ridge Rd east and turn south on Rt 9, Paradox Brewing opened their new tap room a couple of weeks ago. It's maybe a mile total from the exit.

The Wilmington to Gabriels route will give you a nice view of Whiteface across Franklin Falls Pond. If you end up in Gabriels, take 86 back to Saranac Lake. You'll have views of Whiteface as well as some of the High Peaks in the distance.

With the warm temps and sun the past few days, we're losing snow fast in the valleys. I live on a dirt road, which has gotten pretty sloppy.

I will ask around to see if anyone needs any of those goods. I have a dealer looking for a voodoo blue TRD if he finds me one i might hit you up for the predator tube if they aren't included . Thank you.

I did my install. IIRC was pretty easy. Sawzall bump stops and go to town. I put my valves on my trailer plug mount. Didn't take very long.
I'm waiting for Corona to cancel my district then I'm wide open. Was up in Old Forge a couple times and meant to grab a couple maps to review, but didn't happen.

No off-road adventures but took a long ride up to 87 and ended up in North Hudson. Perfect day to explore. I dragged my kid with me.. I can't tell wether he enjoyed the ride or not lol

Nice. I spent my day under the wife's car doing rear hubs and brakes. Would much rather have been out where you were.

I have an issue with my rear passenger tire wear. Started about 3 weeks ago after we crossed RIP bridge.. went over a slight bump and the rear passenger shuddered for about 3 secs and only at 35 to 40 mph. My wife and I looked at each other and just shrugged it off. The issue persists. I've changed my winter tires to summer ones and nothing. Alignment? Nothing. The wheel bearing seems solid. So I finally took it to lía Toyota to see if they can help. The adviser I saw, who's also a Tacoma enthusiast, was 99% that the ome lift needs to be adjusted/re-torqued. So I called my local guy and asked him to retorque the lift and he didn't seem that excited about it so I grabbed my torque wrench and started checking. Everything checks out nice and tight. For shits and giggles I tried torquing the wheel hub. It was loose so I'm hoping that's the issue. And I've only driven it once since so I don't know if that was the culprit.
Man, this has been a real head scratcher and I'm praying that's over.

Had you replaced the rear hub/bearing any time recently? I don't have any experience with those.......yet

Hopefully what you did works. Maybe you lost a wheel weight?

The retorque has helped. I don't think it's 100% ..maybe it's in my head but I just looked at the Toyota prestige website and would you look at that...
    Tranny flush

    Automatic Transmission Fluid
Offers excellent lubrication characteristics for quiet operation and smooth shifting in non-sealed Toyota automatic transmissions.

    • Helps control "shudder" and provide excellent drivability
    • Extends transmission life
    • Resists foaming and oxidation
So yeah I'm gonna see if they can get that done tomorrow. I mean it's a lot better but I'm just not convinced.

Just do it yourself. It's not hard.... Or come down my way. We'll use it as a home-school lesson for the kids.

Thanks for the offer. I just couldn't wait to get it done and I didn't want to fugg it up. But, check this out:

Got the flush done yesterday and no shudder as of yet.

Red is clean tranny fluid and black/brown is old.

I don't mean to sound like a pessimist, and truly hope your truck is fixed of its issues. But Id take anything the dealer shows you like that with a whole shaker of salt. They are just trying to show you how bad the truck was to make you feel less upset about their costs.

Me: oh and can you also clear the tire sensor light please.

Stealership: oh that's no problem you probably just need a new sensor.

Me:. No. They're good. They're brand new tires and sensors just need reprogramming.

Stealership: oh that's no problem. 59.99 will be added to the invoice.
