I didn't know the gloves I had were gonna be so bad. Not sure if they're just too big or what. They provide protection in the event of a fall though so they're good enough for now. I'm probably gonna get a pair of Alpinestars ones. I tried theirs on at the Del Amo I went to and they felt really good.

If it ain't one damned thing it's another. Had some parts show up early, so I mounted my new bars. They are only about an inch taller than my old ones, but that seems to be just enough to be a problem. New front brake line and clutch and throttle cables ordered. So much for getting the engine broken in before I go back to work next week.

On the plus side, The 2K clear I shot managed to lay down pretty nice with minimal orange peel, so a gentle wetsand and buff should have the paint damn near perfect.

I'm thinking about a Yamaha XSR700, a little scared to pull the trigger on it from a KLR650.

    Anyone have experience with it?

which alpinestars? you know you need to get blacked out ones.. because logo advertising on a HD isnt cool. And your hands are probably a weird shape, so this will be multiple weeks of entertainment/headache for the rest of us.

I called my gf yesterday, and when she asked whats up, I was telling her your seat story. Thats how much I am invested in this. Oh and @LocoLocal texts me about it too.. :frusty:

    Who's "Uphlifted"

Not sure which ones. But I tried on about 3 different models from them in size large and they all fit very comfortably. My mistake in buying this first set of gloves was getting the cheapest one I found at cycle gear. Lessons learned. I'll advertise whatever damn logos I want

I wear mx gloves. They hold up fine on pavement and they are comfortable. Never been super happy with other sets of gloves for the expense.

Was considering doing that too if I can't find a pair that fit good enough. The alpinestars were the most comfortable and best fitting though so we'll see. May just say fuck it and find my old Fox mx gloves

You guys get crazy with the gear.Go get a nice set of leather mechanics gloves. Could also go to the hardware store and get a pair of leather work gloves.Ger them tight.Soak them in water and ride with them like that.they will conform to your hands.

@uhplifted (I spelled it right this time!) keep an eye out for some Dixxon Dream Crusher gloves. They are my favorite pair I have ever owned in my 15+ years of riding. And I have been through a lot of pairs. They aren’t great for cold weather, though. Don’t know how cold it gets out there in Cali!

That's not a bad idea either. I just need something with a bit longer cuff than a regular pair of gloves.
I'll take a look and see whats out there
