Haha, I’ve had the same one as your old one for about that long too. It’s on its last leg. It’s lifted a lot of trucks throughout the years!

Been reading up... one wire from the blinker needs to be grounded and the other tapped into the rear turn signals. Just gotta find a clear enough guide so I don’t mess it up. I’ll be sure to document what I do/find out to make it available in stupid people terms for people like me who want to do it as well.

Watch this guys channel on Youtube: CK Wraps
    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcvrUINxcy_cHZOmg3KGsOg

Lots of good tutorials on all things Wraps. He shows you all the best practices.

One issue I can see you running into wrapping there. The Wrap likes a flat smooth surface so you might need to do some sanding on the stippling. Also, make sure you clean the surface really well with Iso. Alcohol or equivalent and use an adhesive promoter on the edges to prevent pealing.

    couple recommended products:

Had the day off today so, I took the truck to get aligned in the morning and then did brake, power steering, coolant, rear diff flushes. Ran out of sun light to do my spark plugs and front brakes. That'll be for the next day off.

The cup holder was a bit of an issue. That and those damn wrinkles. Had to start over
    20200311_192113.jpg

Wow, thanks for all that info brother, I'll definitely have to pick some of that up!

So I ran into a bit of a snag when it came down to the end part of the vinyl. The wrinkles were stubborn as hell and forced me to start over. Also trying to make clean cuts with a razor blade and exacto knife was a bit trying. So I tried again with the smaller part of the piece and it seemed to be a bit more my speed.

    20200311_220854.jpg

So I'm semi happy with the ending result. Not bad for my first time working vinyl, IMO. I'll just paint the damn thing if the vinyl ever fails but it seems pretty sturdy

Didn't want to go the anti-glare vinyl route, so I made these.

Removed the bull bar. Next is replacing the chrome step bars with black N-Fab step bars or maybe the knock-off eBay ones. Anybody recommend the eBay ones?

I have ones from EBay. I’ve had them on the truck for over a year and have been happy with them.

From what I've read, it can cause issues if you have the Daytime Running Lights since it would also have the blinkers perma-on while DRL are on.
