i almost got ran over by an electic hybrid toyota yesterday in a parking lot by a student driver!

Yeah dude I thought that meme was a joke I posted! I didn't know he really did that!??! Holy shit the karma though... And all teams that played the Jazz last few days are being instructed to self quarantine now too

i could not hear the stupid thing coming down the crowded parking lot! i was coming out of my truck stall looking where to put my shopping cart!
damned student driver was making a wide turn into stall opposite me
what the hell are we supposed to do with these electric cars that you just cannot hear very well while running

 

You guys cancel classes yet? Usu canceled events on campus or something I saw on the news

 

they make NO sound. not sure how fast it was going, but enough to injure me

i use my EARS to be most aware most of the time to check my six, how do you trust those drivers of cars that make no sound to be aware that they are not making normal engine sounds

 

You ask what we're supposed to do if we can't hear a car, I said eyes. Use your eyes and look around and be aware of your surroundings. I do this a lot cause I can't hear good.

 

By trusting another one of your senses and looking around.

It's why we always say "keep your head on a swivel" while out on deployment.

I've got hearing loss so I need to look more often myself.

 

Why would I need those when a lawsuit is enough to fix my injuries?

 

That's if they don't kill you or stick around after running you over.

 

i saw this silent car at the very last minute, i was coming out of a blind stall with a cart and they nearly tagged me, it was a student driver

 

That's a paycheck tho long as the damage isn't too bad

 

so every step i take i should just Stop and look and turn all around and take another step and repeat the process?
