Lol everyone in here hard of hearing, including me. Had a buddy in Highschool get pissed at me when I was fucking with him. He went to stab me with a capri sun straw during lunch, and sure as shit it lined up right, went into my ear canal, and busted my ear drum as well as rattled my inner ear bones.

Followed with an ENT over the next 6 months to watch it heal and get audiograms. Sure as shit I'm deaf in my right ear to the frequency just above the human voice and higher now for life lol.

Just a funny story for yall

i use my highly acute hearing to do most of my navigating at times since my neck is all fucked up

Partially deaf in my right ear and I hate it.

 

I had a "friend" stab me in the back with a pencil in elementary school, luckily no long term damage.

 

my bully days are over since '87 and the in-school suspension
now i am the one always getting picked on it seems, it sucks

He felt bad as fuck about it all and I was being a pestering ass to him leading up to it. Shit just all happened at the wrong place and time lol. Don't keep up with him anymore, but really haven't chilled with any of my friends in a min being so busy sadly.

TBH, I personally can't tell the deafness is there. I just use it as an excuse with people and the GF tho when I ask "what" like 30 times. It's the worst with the GF bc she's so soft spoken. Not to mention the subs in my last truck probs didn't help me

ASU sent me an email to me this morning saying they're doing the online lectures for the 2 weeks proceeding after spring break. (Don't go there anymore but still subscribed to their newsletter)
