Howard Stern Fans?

I don't understand all the secrecy that surrounds their absences, planned and unplanned. Why not say you'll be out on vacation next week? Why then try and make the replay seem as if it's new? That happens often and it's deceiving and unnecessary. If you respect your audience just say "hey we will be out next week, new show on ____."

Then yesterday, why can't they just share info as to why the random off day? The show replays how many times throughout the day? and then again how many times Thursday-Sunday? Then all those things get shared on Twitter like 100 times. Yet you can't share one meaningful update on any medium?

And this stuff about Brent - I'm learning that here for the first time. It's all very deceitful.

Agreed. I don't understand that either.

 

In all my years of listening to him and small hints here and there, he rarely announces breaks or days off. What I picked up is he hopes you tune in and whether it’s live or a repeat, you may get hooked on the current content. This explains the special programming on 101. It may not be new but it could be new to the listener.
I also call bs in it. He has his fan base, just be honest which most of the time he is, on air anyways

 

Regardless if he's off or not, I still tune in because I enjoy listening to some replays, plus all the stuff on 101 since a lot of it is from before I started listening, or even if it's not, it's still good.

Meh...

 

I really liked listening to it on XM during my trial but it was too repetitive, too much replay, but I guess they only have so much content.

there was one episode that blew my mind - they were talking about some place in NY where people were EATING and EFFING in some kinda club. I was like WTF?

 

Agreed. I still listen. I like sternthology. I hear a ton of stuff I haven't heard.

 

Yep. I'm loving all of the old stuff with Arty. Such a shame he fucked himself over. He was a great part of the show.

 

Yeah. I really liked him on the show.

 

He recently dissapeared again. No podcast, comedy shows, etc. He was my favorite.

 

That's a shame. He had it made on the Stern show. He could have been there a long time. I've said it before, I wasn't a fan of his stand up but he added a lot to the show. As a team they worked.

 

Jillian Barbarie posted in twitter she just heard Artie on joe rogan, i am not sure how recent it was but sounded current from what she said.

 

I haven't checked today but he was on when Rogan was in NY a few monthes back.

 

Mariann from Brooklyn posted and I looked too. On Beth O's Instagram Howard said they'd be live on Monday. I'm assuming from home.

 

He posted something the other day he is fine and still sober, just got some serious anxiety going on. So instead of canceling his radio show and comedy gigs last minute like he use too, he did it way ahead of time. Glad to hear he is okay and not back on heroin.
