I like using crawl control on steep downhill trails, it's a lot smoother.

Everything is engaging, and disengaging very quickly. I think some of the noise is attributed to the anti-locks, but in any case it is totally normal. No worries.

Just the ABS kicking in. If you go really fast and then slam on the brakes and come to a screeching halt, you'll get a similar brake pedal response/sound. It's just your ABS system.

I've used it more for S&G than anything else so far.

Quick erase your post before someone sees it. You drove 20 yards on dry pavement!! Oh the horror! Within two miles your transmission will seize, the drivetrain will snap in 17 places, and your engine will blow up! Quick sell your truck!

Does it jerk and lunge in the lowest two speeds? Mine is smooth in the top three settings but bucks and jerks in the slowest settings.

I like CC. It has gotten me out of sticky situations where I don’t have to keep trying. Locker + CC and it crawls out like nothing. I don’t have a lift and have worn AT tires so obstacles are I little harder for me than for my buddies.

Sucks on flat ground. Works great on incline/decline. I don’t really care for the noise. You're off-roading damn it!

My manual was in the glove box. No need to buy one.

My manual is between the engine and transfer case. Best place for it really.

Yes it's normal for reals. I personally only use it on hills
Heres my order of operations: MTS, diff locker, crawl control, and then winch.

I went and did the same thing today in a secluded park in my town at the top of a hill. It is raining like hell and even though it is pavement. It was soaked and the road was completely covered with wet leaves that has been there a while. Didnt matter. WOW the grinding. (Now Ive read it is normal but nothing prepares you for that noise in your brand new truck) I put the brakes on.. Turned crawl off. put it in neutral, turned 4H on. then put it in drive turned it back to 2WD. Then I went into the soaked slippery grass. ALL four tires. put it back in 4L hit crawl.. no noise.. just creeped.

Guess everything is cool. Ill have to watch some more youtube videos. If yu open your hood and look at your brake master cylinder you will see 4 lines individually coming off of it. Thereabouts was where the noise was coming from. lol It isnt like you are driving a Ford.

It’s not grinding, it’s the ABS system pulsating at a high speed, to control wheel speed.

Same thing happened to me, I wanted to get familiar with this feature so went by my jobs empty parking lot. Same as you I drove in a straight line at very slow speed..the sounds were not pleasant I hope i didn't grenade front differential. I then proceed to put it on 4h and drove home normal, no awful sounds. This sound isn't normal right?
