Are the gears more of a want or a need? That's the question. Backup supplies for the family in case of sheltering in place is ALWAYS a good idea. I'm a firm believer of the 5P Philosphy: Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance

They had methods for determining the champions that pretty much the consensus agreed on back then. Alabama decided not to agree with the consensus a few years and claim a title anyways.

And when the shit hits the fan, don't come to me looking for supplies because you didn't do your due diligence. Stay prepared, always!

Nobody needs the gears. The truck drives down the road with stock but new gears will allow better use of my truck going 65+.

Yeah they were, for that tank of yours! You're gonna have to turbo charge it before it's all said and done with.

Sorry meant nobody like me needs them as just with what little I have on truck. I’m driving down highway now in 6th gear just fine but I’m doing 55-60 and hauling nothing but me.

On a side note, Nissan dealership just called me back. Took my altima in yesterday because check engine light came on and car was acting weird. It’s got 70k miles but warranty to 125k so no sense me working on it. Anyway they call back today and check engine light just happened to come on at same time other problems began but the check engine light is low brake fluid. The rest of the problems is needs a new ac compressor and a new cvt transmission. Sucks to be warranty company but that’s only if they’ll cover it. It’s covered according to my paperwork so hopefully they do what’s right and don’t cause me a headache.

Id say if you plan to keep the truck exactly how your truck is now and your happy with the performance you will not need gears. That being said if you add that rear bumper you will probably feel it a litle more. Ive heard the 3rd gens with 4.88 stock gets the best performance. I would still probably go 5.29 with your truck to make use of that overdrive gear.

I put 5.29 nitro gears in my truck and good god im glad i did lol.
