    Evening Rob :hattip:
Just relaxing over in the corner of the porch, sarsaparilla in hand and smoking a stogie, keeps me out of trouble!
Keeping up with all the posts daily, a welcome to the new guys and still enjoy following everyone's exploits.
Hope Mark has better luck than me with keeping the new truck clean, due to the weather I don't think mine has been clean for more than 10-12 days since I bought it!

Morning all!! The truck is clean and in the garage - my Subaru, on the other hand.........

I subscribe to the "it's only a loss if you have to pull the money out now" theory of investing. We pulled a little out for the truck about a month ago so it was nice to finally actually buy low/sell high. In the end, though, I'll have that massive Social Security check to live on, right?

X2 I am almost due for shocks. There are still only 2 options for the 2WD 5 lug Tacoma.

You only lose if you have to sell.

Ken: Show me a period where the market went down and did not come back stronger. LOL I am with you on the recovery before needing money.

I made it through another month with not needing to hit the brokerage account. Had an extra expense for airfare and hotel package accommodations for CMA fest in Nashville this June. I will say my savings account is lower that I would like it to be right now.

One of the guys panicked and he had his stuff in aggressive and moved it.

I just let it ride moderate...

Hi all! I've been busy with ripping apart my little coupe to put in a new clutch. It wasn't slipping, but it was engaging very close to the floor, and the usual hydraulic types of solutions didn't help. So in I went. Now I think it may have been the flywheel; it's a fancy "dual mass" contraption, and it has a lot of play in it. I suspect it may have affected the fancy "self adjusting" pressure plate, mucking up the works. All of which means I've been lying on my back under a car A LOT lately. Last weekend I was so stiff I almost didn't go back out the next day to finish up the work I didn't finish the day before.

Ugh. I need a lift. As in, a car lift. :)

I checked my numbers a week or so ago when the drop first started. I wasn't down nearly as badly as the broad indexes, but I was down.
Yep, and it didn't take long either. Back then I moved my money out of the bond side and over to the stock side when the trend was solidly on its way back up, and it was a good move. Since then I've rebalanced and so I have assets on the bond side once again. I plan to do the same thing I did in 2008; buy on the dip. But only after I am confident the recovery is real.

I've R&R'ed a Ford Courier a few times and a Chevy LUV a few times when I put the throw out bearing in wrong. Not much fun, but at least simple. The Courier started knocking, so parked it, found a running Courier, had it six weeks, got run into the side of it, pulled the drive line out of the tranny when the rear wheel got hit, so took that motor out and put it in the rusty, rent-a-wreck with the knocking motor.

When headed out yesterday afternoon to camp, I ran across a flock of 30 hen turkeys, surprised to see them but most snow is gone, last snow/ice melted off my place a couple days ago. Found a couple Sugar pine snags at a campsite a 1/4 mile from where I set up, less trees I have to scout for now.

Welcome to retirement. Requests from family and friends to help them out should be starting to appear. LOL Sounds like you are on the right path to being more relaxed.

    Hay! Good morn y'all.
Supposed to get some windows changed out today, replacing just the glass out for clear sections so I can get some solar gain. Evidently the whole window doesn't have to be removed. The windows I had installed five years ago when I remodeled my mobilehome, have a reflective coat on the inside and reflect the spectrum of light that heat stuff up, but cause fading which I don't care. Will see if this reduces the time frame I have to use my woodstove. Had to use my stove last year way into June to take the chill off in the morning. Just doing three windows that face the east or south.

A couple weeks ago while filling my woodshed, noticed a wet spot over my septic tank and today it was wetter. :( I think roots have damaged the outlet, trying to dig back to the distribution box to see. Not fun. Waiting for the excess to soak up that is exiting my tank. Just had the tank pumped over a year ago. Hope I can resolve this, bugs me. No one returns my calls regarding what I can or can't do.

Montgomery County PA locked down by the governor due to the COVID-19 outbreak there. Butts up to our county, Berks. This s**t is getting real. My wife got hand sanitizer at the store today, amazingly; not so surprising was they only let her buy 2.
