Probably buying a 3rd gen

So I'm looking at buying a 3rd gen, any mods that everyone recommends overstock, probably going with a TRD Sport or SR5

 

Best mod- Is enjoy the truck stock.

After several thousand dollars, the best mod I made was the morimoto HID conversion headlights for $150. The light output is INSANE and it stays low and focused, out of other people's eyes.

How you plan on using the truck?

The truck will mainly be on the road but will be hitting country roads, for fishing, shooting, maybe just light off-roading fun on tails.

 

Bed mat and MESO coin holder.

 

Same. Get some decent headlights lights in front and some decent rubber. The rest is optional. The Duratracs in Load C are pretty good for balance of mileage, off road and on road. 265/70/17 should be perfect.

 

Best mod for me so far has got to be my raptor lights. Nothing says I'm down to crawl the mall like a set of raptor lights.

For real though, my best mod has been my Kings. Even if I was a street princess, after owning them, I would probably do them again right off the bat.

I'm a pretty harsh critic. However, I will run morimoto HID on every car or truck for the rest of my life. The low beams make my light bar useless. The light doesn't blind anyone because it stays so low. It is beyond awesome.

I recommend staying away from The Reteofit Source. their customer service is terrible and you can be on hold 45 minutes.

It's easy to justify based entirely on the safety they provide.

Someone needs to make a TW 3rd gen starter kit pic with like, faux pro grill, raptor lights, meso turn signals, husky floor mats, etc etc

 

Imma be running a set of Wheels and tires off of a TRD pro 3rd gen, I had the set up on my 2nd gen(getting totaled out) gonna transfer em to the new truck.

How do the husky floor mats compare to weather tech?

 

Neither compare to the Maxpider.

 

Lift wheels and tires.

 

Drive it stock for a year and mod the things you hate most.

Bed mat is crucial though if you haul things.

 

Im thinking about going with a Dobinsons kit for a lift, I've heard good things and kinda wanna try the brand out. I'll be running TRD pro wheels on it
