Most people in the US are able to get 10-15% off.

10% being common and 15% being rare. That's calculating pre-tax/title price over MSRP.

I don't know how far you are from the US but in my state of CA, February sales were low and they bumped the customer cash by $500 for March so better deals can be had.

(USD) For a truck with ~$45k MSRP you should expect about ~$40k before tax/license (including rebate if applicable).

Best way to do this is find as many dealers in your region as you can, get a quote from one of them and keep sending the lowest quote out to all of them until they start tapping out. Insist on making a deal over the internet, they all try to draw you in with fake promises to bait and switch you. Then print your emails and bring it to the dealer. Also doesn't hurt to ask for real pictures of the truck to make sure they have what they say they have.

Im gonna go out on a limb here, but the incentives that are coming will be the best toyota has ever offered. Of course if no one has a job or money i guess that wont matter.

I got an invoice price for the vehicle that I want on carcostcanada (not sure if you guys have a similar website to that but it basically gives you the price of what the dealership paid the manufacturer)
I sent that in to another dealership and they offered me the vehicle for 40750 CAD (nice difference from the initial 44590)
I did send that offer to different dealerships to see if they’re willing to beat it.
But the 40750 is really tempting, if nothing beats that I’ll probly pull the trigger on that one.

We were talking to our guy at the Dealership yesterday. I had asked, between the market and the Beer Fever if traffic had slowed down.
He said they have already noticed a huge slowdown in people out and about looking.
Maybe I should have waited as well?
Could be some good deals coming up.

New Car sales in China dropped 80%. Im sure Italy and France will be down a huge amount as well. April is like to be the telltale month for us if we are going to slide into a full recession.

If you have patience, you are very likely to get a better deal on March 31. Salesmen will be trying to make just one more sale to meet their daily, monthly and even quarterly goals. I got my truck February 29 for below invoice because he just wanted to up his volume.

At the end of the day, it's fun to get a good deal but it's more important to stay within your budget and enjoy your new truck.

Have an appointment today at 3:30 with my dealer to go over dealer trade options. Hopefully I can end the day with putting down a deposit and agreeing to terms.

I doubt vehicles get any cheaper, maybe a little more rebate at most after a few months, they would just scale back production

Hearing dealer floor traffic has dropped significantly this week and self/social distancing recommendations is likely to remain in place for next 45 days. Buying a car that is not a necessity is likely to be very low on most people’s lists. China new car sales dropped 80%, I believe EU countries will see same for March. Most manufacturers already have a 30 day supply of inventory that is going to double by mid May as scheduled inventory arrives.

Just left my dealership after putting my deposit down on an SR5. DCSB 4x4. MSRP $36,558. The vehicle price came to $31,593 after the $1.5k Toyota cash and dealer sale then they added on a $449 doc fee. They gave me $1k over the trade in value of my truck though. That extra $1k was not expected, so I consider that to be the equivalent of them lowering the sale price by $1k. Given this, I feel like I got the equivalent of 15% off of MSRP before TTL. It was such an easy process that I'm almost nervous for picking it up Monday. I have to think that something will change. Either that, or I could have gotten more off by haggling (I didn't haggle at all.) If this deal sticks, I will be incredibly happy.

If the trucks I have saved at cars.com are any indication, they have already slowed.

Going to buy a new 2020 TRD offroad in the morning. Dealer gave me a price that comes to 13.5% off msrp before ttl. Plan on bringing it home soon.

20200313_165254.jpg Okay, new here. Just respectful feed back please, " thought" it was a fair deal, now after reading the postings, I'm wondering if my negotiating skills have gone down. I purchased a 2020 TRD SPORT yesterday. Asking price (44,862.00) with negotiating and rebates 39,500. It has the Advance Technology Pkg, PQ/ Premium Pkg,, LED - Headlights with LED DLR and Black bezel/ Fog lights. also LED bed lights. Blackout emblems,Leather heated seats and moonroof. Along with a few other cool features. The are adding the rear corner step free. I purchased the extended warranty, ( 3000) and future services are paid up as well.( 2400) With a CA tax of 3900 + fees and 3.79% 51K OTD Really hope I didn't get taken!!!

The $5,362 discount off MSRP is great, but they bent you over with the $3k extended warranty and $2400 future service contract. Your OTD price of $51k is right at 2020 TRD Pro territory.

This is my 7th Tacoma, been buying them since 1992. This is the 1st time I purchase, extended warrant . Or service contract. I did it because I no longer want to have my dad to things any longer, he is not able to, so this seemed like a good idea this time, as i travel many road trips now. So seemed appropriate.
