I'm looking at buying these tires tonight. He says they only have 6,000 miles on them. I have not seen them in person yet but I'm not too familiar with the Mud Grapplers anyway - to know if these really look like 6,000 miles or not - looking at the tread. He said he would take $1K for them.

Can you guys look at these images and tell me if you think $1K is about right? Remeber - he said they only have about 6K miles on them and still have the side hairs on them.

thanks guys. maybe I'll finally have my new tires (but maybe not).

and another - straight to the image of the tread - http://i.ebayimg.com/23/!B4Q2gbQ!2k~$(KGrHqEOKjsEyLopRozzBMpNBzRJsQ~~_12.JPG

I'd pass... You can get them for ~$283 a piece from here, and then get Discounttiredirect.com to price match them with free shipping.

    EDIT: Link fixed

Although they have free shipping - DiscountTireDirect wants to charge me taxes of > $90 since they have a wharehouse in TX pushing the cost to $1227.

I know its only $27 but I was telling myself I was gonna wait to find them < $1200 to buy them new.

I'm gonna check this guys tires tonight and see if I can get him down in price.

Thanks all - I'll let you know how it turns out.

Dude, there's a hell of a lot more than 5k on those tires.... And as soft as those mudders are, they won't last very long. Try to go through Discount Tire's credit card (they have a $50 mail in on a purchase of 4 tires), which would put you below your desired 1200 bux.

Those look like a lot more than 6,000 miles to me unless they make the tires out of chewing gum.

No way I would pay that for those, not even close. They look to be half gone easy.

My Kumhos looked like that at 25,000+ miles, no joke

    update:
    - I didnt even go look at those tires - the ones initially listed - thanks for steering me away guys. They did look pretty bad in the pics.

    - DiscountTireDirect was a no go since they were gonna charge me tax.

    - Lo 'n' Behold, I got a bran spankin new set for $1K. That's right. I found a guy that bought them but ended up not putting them on cuz his wifey was giving him grief and I talked him down. The tread measures almost a full 1/2".

There's some pics in my gallery.

    Thanks again TW.

I previously had 31" tires and this is how I got rid of the rubbing (mostly):
I cut the plastic fender well at the back of the front fender well and I pulled the front portion of the fender well towards the front fender and tied it off with a lock tie. This is with stock lift/suspension.

I now have 33" tires with 12.5 width. I put a 3" OME suspension lift and also cut the body mount. With this wide of a tire they rub every now and then when fully cocked steering wheel and in reverse. Look up Body mount mod for info on cutting your body mount - you will probably want to do this (along with a lift) if going to 33".

What size tires do you have? Do you have a lift?

Thanks for the honor of your first post.
