Ahh young lady there was lead used in sealing canned food , piping , flashing, car bodies new and repairs and many many other things besides paint lol and look at us we survived :} .... well mostly lol

Funny but in a weird way , there is a billboard here warning about lead paint and children even though it has been banned since 1978 the only risk is likely on a house that is older then 40 years . And I believe most every nominally normal adult is aware eating paint regardless of what kind of paint it maybe is inherently unsafe for anyone to do especially children lol

P.S I had to look it up apparently paint was bad in 78 but the pipe wasn't till 86 ??? In 1986, these were banned from use in new U.S. plumbing systems, but they remain throughout much of the country's drinking water infrastructure, which largely pre-dates the ban. Until 2014, plumbing fixtures with as much as 8% lead-by-weight could be legally labelled “lead free”.

These "Pipe" issues is exactly why my home has ALL new piping ( thanks to that Bitch Irma :fistbump: ).... When we started to "gut the kitchen" it seemed obvious, the same plumber was never used...band-aides of every type  ... copper, galv and OLD o_O steel ... Pex is now throughout the house from the kitchen all the way to the meter...:D even color coded for when I get old and possibly have a "leak"....:hattip:

Hell, I remember when we purchased our 1st house and "unwrapping" all that "white stuff" off all the steam pipes...directly into the dumpster :anonymous: bye-bye..... realtor and home inspector were "clueless" when we sold it 6 years later to who "fixed it"

Alright folks, off to quiet time.... Grand baby is here and she is "cutting" a couple more teeth...might be an adventurous night....:p

Maybe that's why the younger generation eats Tide pods :notsure:

First 3 confirmed cases here yesterday. No surprise being a destination medical center. We just released a test kit that gives results in less than 24 hours the others are 72 hours. Working from home is a good thing. Going in next Tuesday for a retirement party. Unless they cancel that too. Ron said today he is still retiring party or not LOL.

Still snow on the ground and below freezing at night but ticks are out already. So now you can have Lyme with your Corona.
