    Thanks :)

Skunks are not closely related to cats. I seriously doubt they can breed with cats. They are closer to badger and honey badger.

Hey when I train my hunting dogs on avoiding and not chasing skunks my command is "no kitty"
So yeah, close enough in my book.

    Thats awesome

I have a friend who has ferrets and peacocks....i thought that was exotic..

Baby skunks are three handfuls like that. They feed 6-8 times in a 24-hour period. A baby skunk (Ollie) will bond with you, but an adult rescue (Winston) doesn't have the requirements of a baby.

Kitten season has started and we have our first group of fosters. Currently one week old, eyes should open in a few days and we should be able to keep them for about 8 weeks. They need to be 2 pounds before they can be spayed/neutered and made available for adoption. 931B928C-4F93-4F65-81A5-988B71D051ED.jpg

It's funny that skunks are considered exotic, my veterinarian office considers Winston as such.

His fur is very thick for a short haired cat; trying to apply flea and tick preventive is a pain because it's hard to dig through the fur to find bare skin. Also, he's always been a stocky, muscular cat but he's starting to move up the chonk chart, it may be about time to speak with the vet about a diet.

Yes, thankfully we have Momcat so we don’t have to worry about the 2:00 am feeding nor getting them pooped and peed until they can do it on their own. That said, kinda miss the bonding that comes with bottle feeding. The two grey tabbys have an upper respiratory infection that is impeding their ability to nurse so syringe feeding has started.

Didn’t catch them taking a nap together, but Panther and Kilo have this cool bond.

Not to always be the thread cat dad, but careful with garlic. Not sure if the husks are bad, but garlic is for sure!

That’s so awesome. Not sure if we’re ready for the attention a dog needs, or if Otis would get jealous, but always wanted a dog and cat that are buddies like that!
