Mods got tired of all the reports that came from it and people kept posting political stuff.

We have 2 kids under 4; we stock up on that shit regularly.

in other news, came into a brand new computer at my desk; still have to get the monitor color/brightness/contrast settings set how I like them. Dual monitors but big enough to split screen both and have 14 tabs going at once

I came in to a new monitor on the 'fun' computer a couple weeks ago. Super cheap-o Hyundai monitor. Guess this was their answer after I complained about not having a modern screen resolution.
Better than it was but still a VGA connection..

Every other monitor here is a Dell or HP with an HDMI connection. This is the only one without and happens to be the only one I can watch Amazon Prime/YouTube on.
I just wanna watch my shows in real HD lol.

I'm sure I'm the only one complaining about it, too. Spoil myself with the PC at home and come here to these POS computers.

I built a few gaming machines in the early 2000s went to college for compsci then quickly lost interest sophomore year because I fucking hated coding. Now I just use whatever tablet or computer we have. Our last desktop hasn’t been used since the move in 2015. Wish I could get back into it, but don’t care enough anymore; would rather build with metal/wood now.

Yeah, I've been screwing with computers since I was kid. My uncle was real big on having all the latest tech so he'd kick his old computers/parts down to me to play around with. Now I just have the system I built and I keep it updated when it needs it.

I'd love to have a place to work with metal/wood and I look forward to having someplace to do that when we get our own place.

Hell we have a miss mash of monitors in my dispatch because we also monitor the CCTV and badging systems, fire alarms, etc. Total we have 11 monitors in one tiny room lol. 2 are for playing the safety video for visitors.

You don't wanna know how many phones ...

Crazy to think how far things have come... I don’t even know what the industry standards are anymore... Several terabyte Drives are so cheap these days but who needs that with cloud storage?! Been looking at the 5G s20 ultra that’s better/faster than any computer Ive ever had

I personally prefer keeping things locally stored. I'd rather have my own "cloud". Memory and storage prices have dropped considerably lately though.
I'm also not planning on anything "5G" for a good while..
Yeah, our floor has big TVs on every wall. Supposed to be for monitoring stuff and our schedule... Currently playing Ricky Bobby on 3/4 TVs.
