Happy Friday! I took it off from both jobs. My fault is going to rain - LoL.
Either crazy or brave or logical, but going to go to the RV show in Hartford (edit - Mohegan Sun) assuming they don't cancel it.
Good news - should be empty. Bad news - should be empty of patrons.

 

Well... per the CEO's directive this morning, working from home for an undetermined amount of time starting Monday, possibly even tomorrow.

Shit's getting real...

 

Well, if you ever wanted to see how fast you could go on the Mass Pike, now's the time to do it. MA State Troopers have been told no traffic stops. Only respond to calls.

 

Mrs just texted me and said that her school is closed until further notice starting tomorrow.

 

It's already real.
The complacency that I see is unbelievable.
People still going to gyms, crowded places and parties like nothings going on, and taking no precautions. Not a clue.
That's how this shit is going to blow up.

 

Unreal... people just don't give a fuck, plain and simple. And because of them, everyone else ends up paying for it.

 

Its blowing up. Went in the office Monday and Tuesday only to see assholes showing up with the flu. I decided starting yesterday to start working from home indefinitely. Pretty sure they will close our office and implement mandatory work from home for at least two weeks, but I wasn't waiting on them.

I’m not taking any chances with a newborn/preemie in the house.

By the way, the dogs love him!

 

And now the Brookfield schools, which is where we live, just canceled school starting tomorrow through the 27th.

 

Buying a bed for my truck on Saturday which means I'll have to part out or sell whole, my old bed.
Anybody want anything off of it? It's a 2012, long bed, super white 040

 

Schools closed here for the next 3 weeks. All schools and buses will be thoroughly clean prior to opening back up

 

My work closed Monday night, WFH for 2 days. Got a text Wed night to come back in but place is a ghost town. I'm nervous AF so asked to stay home tomorrow and will talk to my boss about next week

 

This shit is freaking me the fuck out... But I completely understand that it's better to be safe than sorry.

Argh! It better blow over ASAP.

 

Granby schools closed for 14 days...need to find a good project for the boy. CLEANING RIMS!

 

Guys, deep breaths. Don't let this keep you up at night. Unless you are 80+ you will be fine. Old and sick people need to stay home for a little, but regular people are not gonna do anything but get a little sick. Like 30 people have died in the US, how many have died from the flu or just walking down the street?

Got my set up at home. Work let us bring whatever we needed, so I brought my second screen and keyboard, since I have a laptop.

 

@Bridge4 has it right. Unless you have pulmonary problems, smoke, or are in general bad health and/or have a compromised immune system, you're going to be fine. Take a look at who has gotten sick. Adult males in China. Over 50% of adult males in China smoke. Only 2% of females do. Explains the high disparity. Iran? A high population of both male and female smokers. Italy? Same deal. If you have lung problems or smoke, you should be worried. If not, chill out.

 

Personally I don't think all of the lock downs and school closures, etc, are about getting sick... I think it's more about stopping or slowing down the spreading of it. Honestly, that's what's freaking me out the most, how quickly and easily it spreads. The getting sick part doesn't "scare" me, but it does bother me because I have two little kids at home that would likely get sick as well, and would hate to have to leave my wife to take care of them and do everything by herself.
