How tall of a building are you wanting? Thinking I’ll build mine 12’ to the eaves with 10’ tall garage doors. You should probably think about building yours taller because you’re so tall and put things over your head a lot. Would suck to hit your trusses with the log press haha.

I am going to have to start using the pinch and walk method if people keep hogging all the shit tickets as well here in AK.

My buddy just got quoted 50k for a 30x60, poured pad. This is in md however which is a little bit more expensive.

My house came with a 24x48 which is where my gym will be moving to once I get electric out to it.

Concrete here is $96 per sq/yd, so it's pretty cheap compared to other places. I don't think I would actually need a 40x60, but that size would be nice.

Are you planning on using the building for anything else? Honestly I plan on using a 1/3 of my building for the gym then the two actual garage bays for shop/vehicle storage.

I guess if you plan on doing strongman carries inside you’d need at least a 48’ building

Oh fuck. I didnt stock up.

Are you doing the build or are you hiring it all out?

Depends on what foundation and build you go with. No insulation or HVAC and a compacted ground floor you probably could do it in $30k if you do the work yourself. I think $30k is still tight tho.

If you get too fancy though and want electrical, cement floors, and insulated walls more.

Yep. I’ll post that build in my build thread.

I’ve wanted one for a long time. Didn’t make sense to build one at a house I planned to sell soon. I’m Closing on my (in all likelihood) forever home the first of April, so it’s shop time.

Well, it’s the one and only house on a dead end road, so no neighbors at all. Bordered by a creek on one side. I’ll be able to drop my boat in and be on the river in like 2 minutes. Pretty pumped about that. My property will be 3 acres, but it’s surrounded by 115 that belong to a very close friend. Going to pee off my porch every morning, let me kids and dogs run wild, build a shop and weld some junkyard parts underneath my truck. I’m pretty excited.

Plus, it’s a fantastic time to borrow money if you’re ever going to. Interest is looooooow.

    Thanks Theo!!

Going back after more than a few days off always feels weird, I have to keep reminding myself that the feeling I get after a workout is worth it and I can’t tap into the high from a workout on a previous day so it’s an actual “grind” for me, once I have a pattern it’s easy except for reminding myself not to be complacent and keep pushing to not stay at the same pace or weight that I started at.

    None yet...
The key is...not taking more than a few days off. Of course it is necessary and unavoidable.. glad you are back at it!!

    Re-re-finance? :notsure:

I missed being able to lock in 2.85% by one day. Couldn't get everything pushed through.
