    Go for it. I run a chinese tire (Ohtsu st5000) right now because it was the lightest 28-29" diameter 18" tire I could find. Has worn great and provided good dry and rain traction. I'm sure it's a 4 ply too.

    I mean I run maxxis mud tires right now and they have worn ok but mud tires with 97% life on pavement is to be expected I guess... Those tires are unidirectional so they can only be rotated front to back right?

    Maxxis makes an unbelievable tire. I prefer mud terrrain but i live in the rockies and always chasing coyotes and shit. Ive had the atturo 285/75r16 on for about 20-25k miles and they have definitely been a great tire. Only dislike is i HAVE to air down in snow for good traction. I only paid 800 for a set of five. I dont know what your budget is but its better to have it and never need it then to need it and never have it.

    I have a 2nd set of rims i pick up off a 3rd gen and I was gonna run 275/70r16 on one set and keep running 255/85s on my other with some mt or ats for huntin and stuff

    I'm pretty ok with this for e85 on 33s... Way better than the 12-13 I was getting before I got all the oil out of my intake and the return fixed so it doesnt happen again.

    Also I had $.12 off at mapco today so e85 was $1.80 a gallon

    That was by the odometer so almost 16 mpg... But I didnt get very boosty this tank so that also probably helped a bit

    I did a road trip a few weekends ago. Stayed out of boost. ~160 on a half tank. Never before have I had that. That is with a 12% correction.

    so I FINALLY got some answers out of the motor shop yesterday, and here's what I've got regarding rebuilding my 2.7L to handle some boost.
    - Machine package for short block, ready to assemble $650
    - Parts - hypereutectic pistons, etc. $variable
    - Assembly $1100-1300
    - Clean-Check-Mill for the head $75
    - Head rebuild (if not cracked) $665
    - New loaded Head $1095

    Does anybody in here have experience with any of these prices? do these sound about right? I'd like to push to around 400whp, but ultimately the truck is going to be a woods basher and some occasional desert/dunes up here in NE Washington. Is 400whp overkill for that type of use? I see @Torspd is pushing some solid powa but it looks like he is doing mostly street/track driving.

    Anybody got any input they'd like to share?
