    I was wondering about this cause I had loose plans to go this Sunday up to Big Bear, kind of wonder if maybe the trails will be empty which would be nice for a change on the weekend.

    Weather out here is cold and rainy all weekend though...I don't mind snow but I'd really prefer to avoid mud

    Yeah I've been wanting to go somewhere as well just to get away for a little bit.

    I bet the trails are clear, and people are at home panicking unless they're part of the bunch not having to show up at work.

    No rain here.

    there's been some talk around here at work about people getting to work from home, I think mostly the ones that are going to have children now at home all day because the school's are closed. That's really gonna fuck up things for a lot of families that have 2 parents working full time. Daycare is expensive as hell

    Anyway I can't do what I do from home so I'm stuck here lol

    @Kwikvette
    I calculated my daily bottled water use divided by PURs claimed filtering capacity and change the filter annually irregardless of the flashing red light. The warning light is just a marketing tool to sell filters. IMHO.

    So even at 2 filters per year I'm just throwing away money.

    Idk if you live alone or not but if you don't, and you share said water, I can take your usage and divide it in half to figure my own usage.

    I'm set for 4 years! (Since I have an extra filter)

    I probably do too since I don't mind drinking water straight from the tap, only place I've lived where I couldn't was Santa Barbara...the shit came out of the faucet tinted yellow

    My average daily bottled water use is 5 16oz. If I remember correctly PUR claims 300 gal per filter. Activated charcoal has it's limits but my impurities are Iron, Calcium and Sulfates from well water. 2 years per filter sounds too long IMO. But you do you. The savings aren't huge but the convenience and elimination of single use plastic gives me the good feels.
    Plus lugging 24 packs of water sux.

    and this is why most surface areas in a vehicle have more germs on them than a public toilet seat
