The problem with nostalgia: Your mind clings to the positive emotions and forgets all of the negatives...

Truth be told, you (maybe not you, but most people) would bitch and moan to high heaven if your 2020 truck was anything like a 1960's truck... but hey, maybe in 60 years we'll all be pining for our 2020 trucks and their amazing transmissions.

I'm pretty fond of the old Broncos...

even if mine's currently in the restoration stage. Should I use the roller 302 or the 4bt? One of them has to be used, I need my floorspace back.

Damn, I miss my Bronco. If only I wasn't broke and stupid 20 years ago when I sold my 71.

    All-factory options at this point.
No, it won't because nothing could match those 1st generation Broncos! I loved the hell out of mine- they'd go anywhere you pointed 'em.

That said, the air vents seeped cold air on your feet all winter and they were noisy. But I had the fancy Ranger so it had the 351, power steering, two tone paint, more chrome, a soft and a hardtop, and twin 19 gallon gas tanks that you could switch on the fly with a petcock valve in front of the seat. Now there's some options for ya!

    No problem with nostalgia here.

I put a lot of miles on my dad's '67. There's was 45° of free play in the steering wheel! You had to be a real man to keep that truck between the ditches!

But I gotta admit, the little 302 and 4 speed was a blast (or maybe it was a 3 speed).

    LOL

My grandmother, born in 1889, had a saying "People who say the good old days were better are full of shit. I was there, I know." (think Betty White without a filter) I would buy a modern version of the 1984 Toyota Hi-Lux in a heart beat. But, I wouldn't want an original from 84. I'm sure the new Bronco is going to be a bloated Murican mess.

That's the problem with you Fanbois.
If he had posted the bronco video in the "General Automotive" section, you wouldn't have given 2 shits and probably never even visited the thread.

But because it's in the sacred "3rd gen" section, you get you panties in a wad over one of the greatest vehicles Ford ever produced.

Except it took how many years for Jeeps to get coils and a v8? And how much are people paying for cj5s now? Oh, wait...

Before my taco, I built a 99 TJ, lifted, locked, geared, 35s, 6sp swap, 85mph without death wobble, 16mpg, etc, etc...

I don't shade any particular vehicle, whatever you like is cool but man, you sound salty
