Yah that’s what I noticed no 12+ but only due to the extra emissions crap would need to be relocated which AfR does so it’s not impossible they just didn’t design it too. Do they even look up the stickers?

 

*HPS Lower Radiator Hose UPDATE*

Got an email back from Gerald, at HPS. He just scanned the hose this week, and need to 3D draw it by next week. If anybody needs a Magnuson OEM lower radiator hose at the moment, I can have him send it to you. @garciav

 

Actually, Gen2 has CARB EO and Gen1 does not. Gen1 has the conical filter in a airbox with a lid on top.

i think Gen2 was also the one that caused some engine issues. I think Gen2 has a panel filter with a TRD clam-shell style airbox where its clamped together.

TRD Gen1 intakes are rare but they pop up now and then.

 

@garciav needs it. I have a full HPS set currently and a CSF to go on once the s/c pulley arrives. I can help with test fitting if you are PTAD.

 

Thanks @zippsub9 , I think Gerald might prefer someone from SoCal, as HPS is in City of Industry, and it would be easier for him to scan the engine bay, and take measurements as needed.

Pulleyboys etching no more

 

I kinda do need one, when my supercharger belt gave it started cutting into the lower rad hose, hasn’t blown yet but I feel like it’s a ticking time bomb.

Is this the Magnuson hose or HPS?

 

At a freshly crossed 119K I may need coils. I started and was running the truck this morning and felt what seemed to be a stutter at idle while at a stop.

No codes (of course not!) And the issue subsided as the engine heated up further. I'm thinking the coils may be giving up. Hard to say right now.

 

I had the check engine light flashing and the scanner could not read any codes.
I feel your pain.

 

That happened to me once also actually.

Toyota is over here acting like Ford with their BS misfire counter.

is it worth testing the coils (if possible) or buy a six-pack and be done with it?

 

Thanks! Yeah i was gonna do that but i had a 2.8 sitting around and im cheap so i just used the dremel and some sandpaper and cleaned it up

Absolutely worth it to test them. Denso coils are about 50 bucks a pop so 300 ish for a set of six

 

Are you having a misfire? Try swapping coils from one cyl to another and see if the code/issue follows. Much easier to narrow things down that way

 

im good. just curious on the process. replace them all so im not doing it multiple times.

 

I should look at my pulleys I do not recall them being branded but they probably are.
