    Cheers everyone!

My name is Joe and I'm from Puerto Rico. I was invited to this forum by a member of a watch forum were I spent most of my time online (Hey Ryeguy!). Been browsing for a couple of weeks, this place has a lot of great info, thanks everyone for that.

I used to prefer cars to SUVs or Trucks (manual "sporty" cars like civics, miatas, integras, RSXs or fast sedans... also had a couple of VW Super Beetles, slow and fun cars), until two years ago when Hurricane Maria wrecked havoc in Puerto Rico. There I saw the benefit of having a 4x4 Pick Up (my wife's Highlander is basically a lifted Camry, which is great for what she uses it for, but not a "SHTF" vehicle in any way).On top of that, as my son is older now, we love going camping, we also ride longboards, and we all ride bikes at home. Finally, exploring secluded beaches is part of the fun of living in an island.

I was ready to buy a Taco last year until I read about the changes to the 2020 model.... so after a loooooooong year waiting, a couple of months of research on which model to get, and just at my 40th birthday, here it is:

Basic OR 4x4, no packages... I was driving a 2005 V6 Honda Accord, so this Tacoma has tons of features that my car didn't have (weird that they don't come with blind spot indicator), so I'm super happy with it. Rides great on my daily 80 miles, mostly highway, commute.

I've been with the truck since Tuesday and only added oem running boards.

Need to add soon a tonneau cover and tints. The front camera mod I found on this site will also be added shortly. Roof racks next (maybe with a light bar) and then upgrade speakers.

Can't wait to start exploring with it.... let see how big of a money pit this becomes, as eventually it will be a weekend toy for me (so no more watches, knives, guns, bikes or camping gear for now lol).

    Have a great day!

    Joe

I am happy to see Toyota put a colour matched rear bumper on this years Off road package, my 2018 had chrome which was out of place. Enjoy!
