I don't mess with secondary ignition components to consider testing individually like that, though I have the capability of doing so, I value my time too much to want to test individually, the thing is, since secondary ignition components wear at the same rate, the degradation of one is usually indicative of the impending failure of another or various shortly down the road, by shortly down the road I mean within about 10,000 miles which is usually when I have seen that sort of pattern failure occur across multiple manufacturer vehicles. It's just best to swap them all if you have specifically isolated the issue to be originating from the coils causing the said misfire.

If you are on a budget, then I understand the replacement of one, but it's like I've always told the customers at the shop I work at, you want to play right? Then you gotta pay, and if not now, you will later. Later always approaches. For some sooner.

For this group, we play way too hard, so $300 is a sneeze into the wind. Hahaha.

EDIT: I want to be clear here. I am not saying that I do not test the secondary ignition components in question at all. I am saying that once I have isolated the issue to be originating from one of them I usually replace all if money permits.

Don’t play around when it comes to coolant related items. I kept delaying fixing this coolant pipe on my Lexus because I had to pull my supercharger to do it. Pipe broke loose as I was driving home, and now I have a useless Lexus with a blown head gasket. Now that I’m working on it I’ve realized that pulling the supercharger only takes an hour. 1 hour could have saved me a lot of headache.

With that being said, anyone have a crewmax 5.7 Tundra for sale with low miles?

Ive never heard people needing new coils before. Spark plugs should be changed around 30k though

Does anybody have a hub made by Nate with your SC smooth pulley? Last time I talked with him he said he made the hubs too. Curious if they are short like the pulley boys hub in that you have to press on more than flush.

55k miles are the golden years in that nothing needs to be replaced while modding!!

Dude! That setup looks great! Where did you get the reservoir at? My secondary air pump is relocated there. I don't like where it sits. And my current reservoir is leaking a little now.

Coils fail on Yotas all the time. They fail at the same frequency that they do for any other manufacturer really. And right after 100K is the time they can start doing so. Our coils are the same ones they use on Camry, Corolla and a list of other vehicles across the lineup at that.. so it's not a matter of if they'll fail, it's when.

As of right now I'm keeping a close eye on my condition. I hope I get a pending code or something that way I can address it the way I need to because I hate poor running conditions.
