So I’m reassembling my Tundra right now and found one mark on the cams to not fully line up. I’m also realizing I might’ve messed up by setting everything at TDC... But my Aisin timing belt kit instructions told me to do it like that. And a couple guides for older 2UZs as well as my 03 FSM didn’t tell me to turn 50 degrees forward or anything.

The marks on the belt line up with the cams and crank... that’s what matters

We talked about it all at work today. We're not stopping for any reason. If you're sick don't come in, no questions will be asked. But we're the biggest shop in the area and we've been around for almost 40 years. Everyone sort of just looking forward to the explosion of work thats going to happen after the panic subsides.

We have to wear gloves in cars and if you cough or have a running nose your sent home and they use your PTO. Aka you loose you vacation time.

Yeah just wanted to double check. Did a lot of searching and found conflicting information. I guess it’s because the 2UZ had more slight variations with the VVTI and stuff unlike the 5VZ.

Same here. Manufacturing is what will carry the country through this thing imo. Cause if we stop, then trully everything grinds to a halt.

Honestly it warms my heart a bit to see everyone treating it like i treat every day regardless. Never seen so much distancing, hand washing, general care for coughing and sneezing as I have in the past week. For once I don't feel like the only one trying to care for my/others well being.
