I could care less where the term came from. DOT lights for 80”+ were around long before the Raptor. Perhaps Ford was the first to put them in the grille? Still don’t care. :)

I like the look, so put them in that puppy.

Ford didnt do it for the look. They did it because their truck is 86.3" wide and the Department of Transportation says they had to.

every time I see raptor lights on a non raptor I simply think minivan stickers, may as well add these to the rear window.

I really like the ‘your stick family tastes yummy’ T-Rex sticker. That’s my favorite.

I’m just not that creative tonight. Sometimes you just gotta own it. They’re douchey, but I like them.

Not exactly sure how that pisses them off. A couple little blue leds... makes them... jealous? lol

Most states have blue lights reserved for emergency vehicles, Colorado being one of them.

Must bit be enforced. Like the tint laws. I have never had legal tint in 26 years here and never heard of a tint ticket - despite years (thousands of tickets) working at the DAs office. I literally saw a Benz with blue led circles around the headlights last week.

It’s enforced with an iron fist in my home country as are tint laws, over here I’ve not had legal tint in any vehicle in ~20 years. Few years ago TX mandated some inspection test for tint as the cops never bothered with it, none of the inspection places I go to bother with it either. But apparently VA is hot on tint laws with some cops even having tint meters.

He never said anything about looks, just that Ford was the first to possibly put them in the grille.
