It’s slow, so quick tequila story here. Waaaay back in high school, one night and a bottle of quervo cured me of tequila for let’s just say several decades. Then I’m in deep Mexico with some colleagues for a meeting and the locals take us out for dinner and ask if we want to try some delicacies. “Sure, why not?” Well, a few plates of grasshoppers and ant eggs later, I’m looking forward to after dinner drinks and they serve up some fantastic tequila. Little chilled side shooters of tomatillo juice. Ah, wonderful night. So, turns out tequila isn’t so bad as long as you stay away from the college bar stuff.

 

Still haven't had that kinda moment with vodka...

Question... Seriously.
If I cave in and become financially irresponsible, and trade my slushbox for a manual, can I just load the stick tune in that, then flash the correct tune for the new truck?

Or, do I need to purchase another lic?

 

I think you would need a new license, since the license is tied to one truck.

 

I think if you work with OVTune directly, he’ll work out a solution for you.

 

On a related note... Was working on the interior and disconnected the battery for more than 6 hr (resetting LV values I believe) multiple times and this current time went on an 2 hr highway trip to do an errand and it settled into a rocket ship (after being a little weird previous disconnects (not having enough time to settle) and before disconnecting (learning kerfuffle?)). I have catted dump tubes and running the decatted 2.0 tune (edit: beta performance 91) and can not wait for the final. I have probably close to 350 lbs maybe 400lb static in the back and the truck rips. Thanks Matt and all that you do... I like my truck... let me reiterate since I had some serious misgivings stock... I like my truck now.
